Efficient. Knowledgeable. Disheveled. Low Energy.
The optometrist and staff looked like they rolled straight out of bed and into the exam room. Very low energy. Extremely low energy. Not a lot of enthusiasm, folks. The vibes were bleak — really bleak — but somehow, against all odds, they were knowledgeable and got the exam done quickly. Efficient, I’ll give them that. Competence showed up even if motivation didn’t.
The equipment appeared occasionally clean. I did see it wiped down between some patients — not all — which really makes you think. You start asking questions. You wonder. Very much a “trust the process” situation for an eye exam, and let’s be honest, that’s not what you want when things are being pointed directly at your eyeballs.
Best part, and believe me, this was something: I was put into an exam room that still had another patient’s information visible. Just sitting there. Out in the open. Nothing like a casual HIPAA violation to really round out the experience. Tremendous oversight. Overall, this felt less like a medical appointment and more like a vision test hosted inside a warehouse… which, to be fair, it is.

I have a full insurance that covers fully eye exams yearly and more, when my son and I did the eye test they charged me a fee of $20 and two months later I come back for my prescription for contacts and they say I have to pay $120 for the contacts test prescription because I didn’t do it that same month of the eye test, but they charged my insurance fully!! How can they do a test partially but charge the insurance fully and leave the client with half of the service???? Very incompetent and/or greedy malicious, do not trust this optical. Never will my family or I come back here.

I love Costco I’m a loyal customer since 2000 I always use the optical department for my sons glasses I place a order May 27 and on June 1 they call me that I owe $10 was Costco mistake not my go and pay the same day and they call the lab and the glasses was in a process and will get it by June 5 today I call and the glasses not going to be ready for pick up until June 7 . They need to be more responsible.

The independent doc visit was great, however the optical department at Costco never called for me to pickup my order, while I been getting headaches due for not having my first prescribed eye glasses. I had to call, and was informed that my order has been sitting there for over a week. Where's the customer service at Costco?

Always a pleasure to go to Costco Optical Miami Lakes. Ana, Alan and rest of staff are amazing as always. I am a customer that's have been going there for many years. Always great price , selection and service.❣️

Lady who works the counter I believe her name is Cristina? A manager too, Shes always so rude and a hassle to deal with even if I just call I already know its her who picks up the phone because of the attitude and poor customer service. When I show up in person its still the same attitude too as if shes having a bad day and doesn't want to deal with anyone just wants to be left alone.

The vision center saw me as an emergency walk-in for a cut in my cornea. Everyone on staff was friendly. Dr. Pestritto was amazing - she was patient, thoroughly explained my treatments, and answered all my questions. I'd recommend the Miami Lakes Costco vision center.

the blonde white lady has to be the rudest person i’ve ever met, she has an awful attitude and works so poorly with customer. having to deal with her every time i go to the vision clinic is always a headache. she needs a new job

This location is horrible. They really need better organization. Lines wrap the entire store. You cannot get to the products because the lines are in the way. Shelves not stocked when they open. And you can plainly see the merchandise, it's just not on the floor. A disaster. Costco has great items, this one just needs to do better.

The parking lot is dangerous with cars coming at you from every where.The screening at the door is a waste of $ since you can't buy without a current membership.At this store they treat you like cattle The one in Broward is much nicer and has better inventory.

William at the front door basically called me a lier after telling him my wife was inside and she had the card he said in these words " I don't believe you call your wife" well guess what I called her and I told her to get the membership card throw it in the garbage leave the cart and to come out of the store after at least 15 years I will not set foot at another Costco they can keep their products BJs has better customer service. William I believe you yes you are not that smart and you suck at customer service.
