This is a family owned business. They sell basic groceries and beer, wine, and other beverages and snacks. They also prepare fresh homemade sandwiches and salads. The front porch is lovely to enjoy the ocean views. They are open every day including weekends and holidays. It's much needed as the only grocery store in the immediate area.

Excellent little spot for lunch sandwiches/wraps. Nice little deck to sit out on and can buy beer or seltzer by the can. Chicken Cesar wrap was DELICIOUS

CLOSED PERMANENTLY?!? This Safeway sadly burnt down last night (7/11/2018) in a massive fire. The building is a total loss. Thankfully everyone got out ok and no injuries or deaths. Hopefully the company will rebuild. Just sad that all the employees are now out of work.

CLOSED due to massive fire 7/11/2018. What a nice store with good staff and hopefully they'll be able to rebuild soon. It's really sad that this happened.

This Safeway is super amazing! Half of their staff is handicapped and super polite. I noticed most of the customers were also handicapped and treated above and beyond. Having relatives that also share this is really settling to see our community come together and really show compassion and love. The cafe was quick, cheap and delicious!!! Love this place ! Fruit was bountiful and really fresh as well.

Meat department is deplorable. IF, IF you find something that is not past the sales date, it is 50% fat. The pre made chicken smells like dinosaurs farts.

Worst customer service ever on 10-17-17, around 4:50 pm. The lady in customer service was very rude and short with me. I don't care if someone asks her the same question 100 times a day I'm the customer she shouldn't be so short with me and let me finish speaking

Been going to them for most of my groceries now for about five years, even though I have three other supermarkets that are closer to my home. At the time, the change was because I found the other stores lacking in customer care, and their store brands were low quality. Safeway's house brands are almost as good as name brand items, and their prices are competitive in the majority of cases. Their loyalty card discounts are excellent, if you take the time to use them. However, I have noticed a decrease in store upkeep as well as customer service in the past 2-3 years. I am finding more refrigerated, bakery and shelf goods at or past the "sell by" date, and they seem annoyed when I bring it to their attention. (I have had bakery clerks tell me they "aren't allowed" to bake more goods, until the 4-5 DAY OLD products they are trying to sell are gone!) I can't count the number of times I have had to find a clerk (which is not easy to do, unless you wait on what is usually a ridiculously long "customer service" line in front; the surly clerk there has insisted I wait even if all I want is for her to page the manager!) to CLIMB on shelves to reach goods way at the back of a top shelf or refrigerator case, which nobody could possibly reach with their feet on the floor. I have had to point out that the rotisserie chickens were poorly wrapped and dripping scalding hot grease on anyone who picks one up. When an advertised item is gone, I am automatically told there is nothing in the back, but, if I insist someone actually LOOK, usually they do find the item, meaning the others were just too lazy to go replenish the stock. When I reported that the twist ties for produce bags were out, I was told they intentionally stopped putting them out because "Little kids take them." (I suggested they put them up higher, which they now often do.) Clearly, many of their clerks simply DO NOT CARE! That said, most of the cashiers are courteous and helpful, but also seem frustrated at some of the things I have pointed out. For the most part, the deli clerks are also personable and helpful. The things I have found and reported are so common that both the store's manager and assistant give me a "Oh, shoot, it's HIM again!"-look when I have them paged, and I can't say I blame them. Clearly, something needs to change. Why do I keep going? It still beats what I find in other stores, and I know they have the power to improve, if they take the time. I'm hoping they do.

I want to love this store. The manager is super nice and the cashiers are friendly. But man, I dread going in here. The lines are ALWAYS long, the space feels small, cramped, and outdated. And half the time the produce goes bad within two days of buying it. I would love so much, for this store to be a gun experience to go to, because I know the people care. But it's chronically understaffed and just not working out well for them.
