SCAM BUSINESS. Had a confirmed reservation for a 12 person passenger van and they never sent a confirmation, called to confirm and whoever answered the phone said he was in the hospital and there were no reservations and hung up on me despite a paid and confirmed reservation. - how does a company with 3 locations have only one employee?

Tried to scam me for old damage to the chassis (dry paint over it) on a Camaro back in 2014. The lady immediately went out and checked the car and Only the back of it. They ultimately let it go after insisting I should claim the cost back at my credit card company. Would not use their services

At first I was hesitant to rent with this company after seeing the reviews. I could not be happier that I went with this company! Alvaro Gomez picked us up from the airport and took us to the rental company location. We requested a Honda CRV and we were so happy with it! Alvaro's attention to detail was unparalleled. The bigger companies would not have done what he did, or go as far as he did to make us feel welcome and happy. I will be referring everyone I know traveling to the area to use his services. Fort Lauderdale Auto Rental was great and our experience was amazing.

Confirmed reservation online, went to the address, they do not have updated address on google. Called to find where they were and they told me they didn’t have a vehicle. Poorly ran business and man was real rude. 100% do not recommend, take your business somewhere else.

Booked a car rental 25 days in advance. Called 24 hours out to double check status of rental. The individual I spoke with told me I was contacted that the rental I selected was unavailable for period reserved. I received no call nor email stating such. After the call to ensure I did not miss something on my end I reviewed Caller ID and Emails and nothing was received on my end.Was told the car was not available but they have a small SUV for 2x as much as my original rental and I would find nothing cheaper. Was additionally told that the AirPort Pick up fee is $20 not the $5.99 as stated on the rental agreement.Well Google is a beautiful tool and luckily I was able to find the same car originally booked with a larger rental company for only 15% more than this original booking.Personal opinion: Business uses lower pricing to secure rentals further from rental date. As demand increased they dropped original rental price/agreements and went with more lucrative deals. I have seen this many times in the FL area with smaller rental companies.Please call ahead to confirm reservations if booking with Fort Lauderdale Auto Rental.

I'm a little baffled by this company. I reserved a specific car model via their website as they were the only car company offering that car. Two days after making the reservation - with only 48 hours before I was to pick up the car - I received a polite note saying they were cancelling my reservation because they didn't have the car I wanted and had no cars available at all.Wondering if the car I wanted might be available for another day I called the number listed in their email - the same number appears on Google and their website - and it went directly to a message saying the line was not in service.What does one make of a company that lists cars for rent then says they have no cars and offers a non-functional telephone number? To be fair, I'm not sure what star rating to give a business that seems not to be doing business. One star is usually for businesses that suck, and that seems a tad unfair but also the only real option.The current pandemic has impacted a great many Florida tourist based businesses. Maybe they're just muddling through til things (hopefully) return to normal. Google needs a star rating for "I have no idea what's going on with this business"

It was hard to find. Online did not give great directions or that it was even located in a hotel. It was a convenient walk from our hotel across the street, but if I were to rent longer I would have gone elsewhere. So I give it 4 stars for convenience and staff was friendly.

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I WOULD! We scheduled a car reservation online prior to our trip, specifically booked the hotel we did because this car rental agency was in the lobby, and needed the car to meet friends for a dinner reservation. When we went to get the car, we were told they had no vehicle for us because the person who rented it before us called and asked to extend the rental and they allowed it and had no other vehicles at that location (Hollywood) to give us. They told us they could try to get a vehicle from their Miami location, but didn't know how long it would take and when we told them what time we needed to leave to make our dinner reservation, we were told it wouldn't be there by then. We were also told that because our reservation status was "pending," we should have no expectation of a guarantee that we would have a car. After multiple phone calls, the explanations that we were give were: we should have called to change the status of our reservation to "confirmed" (this was never mentioned anywhere during the online booking and it was never explained to me how this would have provided us with a vehicle in this situation); we were offered an "acceptable" solution (even though their "solution" would not have gotten us to our dinner reservation on time which was the whole reason we needed a rental car); they can't tell someone who already has the car and is 4-5 hours away that they cannot extend and need to bring the vehicle back. I tried to explain that a car should have been requested from their Miami location as soon as they knew the other vehicle would not be back so that there would be a vehicle there when we arrived to pick one up or, at the very least, call us ahead of time and let us know about the situation rather than wait until we arrive to pick up a vehicle at our scheduled time. Every conversation, both in person and on the phone, had an underlying or overt attitude. No one seemed to think they did anything wrong. We were told that we were offered an "acceptable" solution to the problem, but no one seemed to care and/or understand that the whole reason we needed a vehicle was for a dinner reservation and they were not going to be able to provide us with that, so it was NOT an acceptable solution. Basically, DO NOT use this company if you truly need a vehicle! Even with a reservation, there is no guarantee that you will have one when you need it! I am beyond disgusted with this company, their idea of customer service, and their failure to provide the very service they advertise!
