We went to see the birds.. had no idea u had to make reservations ... The owners wouldn't let us see the birds, they had on their advertisement , they had two shows one at 11;00 and 3:00... We got there before 3:00 ... We let them know we were on vacation from Kentucky and Ohio.... We were on a two week vacation and were going home the next day .... Still didn't matter to them... ? I'm a retired restaurant owner, and believe me I go overboard to help my customers...

This is a great sanctuary for exotic birds. They are obviously very well cared for. If I lived locally I would volunteer. These people work very hard to give these birds a forever loving home. They survive on donations & I wouldn’t hesitate to donate towards their care. Well worth a visit if in the area.

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our tour. John was very kind and very happy to answer each and every question of everyone in our group. The place is huge and it is obvious they care for these birds like family. We will definitely be back with friends and appreciate the patience and kindness.

Went with my boyfriend today. What a great place! The birds are beautiful. And very entertaining! Highly recommend going. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and laid back. They obviously take very good care of the birds.

I went on a tour with my family a couple days ago, and we had a very lovely time! You can tell how much the people care for the birds and how passionate they are about sharing their love to guests. The place is very lively and we all loved being able to interact with the birds!

We cannot recommend enough to try this experience and support this amazing sanctuary!! The level of care put into taking care of these hundreds of birds is overwhelmingly humbling and we are so grateful to have been able to enjoy an afternoon with John and his flock. The birds let you know just how well they are being cared for as they called for John as we approached each enclosure and as they gently and serenely (as serenely as 800+ parrots announcing their feelings in unison gets!!) asked for him to come back as we left. John gave us so much education about the program and each of the birds, it was truly the most fantastic experience! And of course getting to enjoy the GIANT macaw enclosure was our favorite!! We can’t wait to come back and continue to support this amazing effort.

Seeing all the birds that they've taken in sad but they're doing a justice for the birds. The interaction with the McCaws was so cool!!! A hidden gem definitely!!

I took the High Flyer Tour with FEBS and it was amazing! The staff is so kind and knowledgeable and put a lot of thought into the organization/socialization of the birds. The birds seem to be loved and well taken care of :) I had a great time and loved feeding the macaws!
