This is the best daycare in the area. The staff is very friendly! Miss Jessica and Mr. Hairs also take time to talk to me, and I see them talking to other parents too! My daughter was put in Miss Shelly room, and I was very nervous about putting her in daycare! Miss Shelly sent us daily pictures and always communicated with us. She always gave us daily feedback! Miss Shelly also gave us tips on how to deal with our daughter, which has helped us out a lot at home. Her classroom is very clean, and my daughter always runs up to give her hugs! We have never picked her up with a dirty diaper. Miss Shelly also takes time to play with the kids and teach them life skills! My daughter is in Miss Samantha room now and she is doing great in her room too! If you are looking for a great daycare don’t hesitate to put your child in this daycare. Our daughter always comes home happy and wakes up in the morning happy to go see Miss Samantha and Miss Shelly. Miss Idelis always say good morning and hugs our daughter in the morning when we drop her off. All the staff seem very friendly. This was not our first choice but it’s our only choice and we can’t wait to put our other daughter in Learn and Play!

When it came time to look for a daycare for my son, I knew right away I wanted to put him at Learn and Play. His sister went there a few years ago, and we had such a great experience.
He started in the toddler room with Ms. Sara, who is absolutely amazing at helping with the transition from staying home to starting daycare. My son loved her – she is so kind and caring.
Recently, he moved up to the 2-year-old room, and I couldn’t be happier with that transition either. While my son isn’t always happy about going to school (or anywhere mommy isn’t), he always looks for Ms. Shelly. Just this morning, when he didn’t see her through the window, he said, “No find Shelly,” and looked in every door and window saying, “Shelly, are you?” (in his sweet toddler talk).
She gives him the perfect mix of comfort, care, and firmness with the rules. I would trust them with my kids time and time again.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. A million reasons why I would not trust these people with my child again. Everything seemed fine in the begging when my son was in the toddler room with miss sara we got plenty of reports notices and daily feed back as soon as the graduated him to the 2 years room his teacher miss shelly was not warm or comforting at all and complained about everything all the time. His first drop off day I carried him in she didn’t introduce herself or anything she snatched my son out of my arms and said you can go and closed the door in my face. I told my husband it was very upsetting and unsettling so we both went for pick up that day and talked to miss jessica in the front office and she told me she would have a talk with her and it wouldn’t happen again. For 2 weeks after dropping him off it was clear Jessica never spoke to her to resolve the issue because I finally put my foot down with her and had to confront her about the behavior myself and tell her it wasn’t appreciated. We would randomly asked to drop off diapers sometimes every 3 days even though we were taking in sleeves from large cases I understand they change diapers every two hours or as needed but there’s no way you should be going through 30 something diapers every 3 days. What it boiled down to ultimately was in the last few months of his time at the school he caught hand foot and mouth which we reported to them and kept him home for the incubation period until the doctor cleared him. When we reported it Jessica acted like it was completely normal and informed me that she would insure “his room would get an extra layer of bleach that day” they also began sending him home 2 to sometimes 3 times a week because he was sleeping too much and called it a safety hazard because they were unable to wake him but yet when my husband or myself would get there our son would be awake. After sending him home several times we put our foot down because they were getting paid weekly for full service but yet call us to pick him up after he had only been there a few hours. When we asked to see footage of our child sleeping that day because they record classroom activities they became aggressive and angry that we were questioning them and told us that they did not have time to deal with us and that we just needed to take our son and leave. The sleep accusations went on for weeks we took our child to the doctor check for imbalances and to get answers. Like myself the doctor could not make since of it either and 50 percent of the time when my child is home on the weekends he rarely takes a nap and sleeps plenty at night except for a few occasions which we would normally keep him home or would let them know if he had a bad night. All his labs came back normal and our sons doctor informed us that if he was falling asleep it was because the sleep was somehow being induced.

I knew this place was special once my child came home happy and eager to go back to school. Patient, kind, and knowledgeable staff are key to a successful preschool and I've seen all the above from my interactions with the staff. Thank you Mr. Haris for always listening to us parents and finding new ways to improve our children's school.

We loved Learn and Play Preschool while we were there. My daughter went for two years and we only switched schools due to moving. Great staff and very trusting.

Choosing the right preschool is crucial for your child’s safety and well-being. After six months at Learn and Play Preschool, I couldn’t be happier with our experience.
The facility is impeccably clean and secure. Fenced outdoor areas and locked doors with individual room codes ensure my child’s safety.
The dedicated staff provides personalized care. My child began with Ms. Sara and now enjoys Ms. Shelly’s class; all staff members know her by name. Mr. Harris regularly seeks feedback to maintain high-quality care, and Ms. Jessica warmly welcomes us each day.
Communication and Engagement is excellent!
I receive regular updates, photos, and detailed feedback on my toddler’s progress, fostering trust and peace of mind.
Learn and Play Preschool isn’t just a convenient location but they offer affordable rates with meals included, making it a convenient choice for our family!
I’m grateful to have found such a loving and professional environment for my child. Thank you to the entire team for your exceptional care.

I am so appreciative for Ms. Jessica and Mr. Harris as well as the staff and teachers. I have had several experiences with daycares, and this is the first one they are excited to go to and see their friends. They are learning so much, and love their teachers. The staff is very caring and takes time to meet the needs of Littles who are just learning to be away from home and in a new environment.

My son was here for almost 2 years and is now in kindergarden. My son is hyperactive and even still everyone there was understanding and attentive. Mr. Harris shows daily how much he cares about the staff and every child. Of course accidents will happen especially when training new employees... another review mentioned them losing kids...Definitely not the case! This is an excellent place to leave your child.

****** PSA: I just want to put this out there to prevent this from happening to any parent again. My worst nightmare happened today when I went to pick my daughter up from daycare. This was her 3rd day of ever being in daycare. Whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO LEARN AND PLAY PRESCHOOL ON 52 in HUDSON. They LOST my daughter. When I arrived to pick her up today after work they did not know WHERE my daughter was. They LEFT my daughter outside on the playground for almost 30 minutes BY HERSELF. My daughter is not even 3 yet. I do not want this ever happening to another parent. Please whatever you do avoid this place at all cost. ******

Learn & Play was my first choice when looking for a learning center for my children. The teachers truly cared for both of my girls and I still keep in touch with several since we have moved on to elementary school. The lunch program made my life so much easier by providing meals and snacks at no additional cost. The classrooms are all pass lock secured and cameras from each room are monitored in the office. My girls loved this school and so do I. Highly recommended as a family owned daycare.
