“We had a wonderful vacation here! We stayed in room 10 for three nights and loved every minute. The room had everything we needed. The main reason we chose the sunburst inn was that they were pet friendly. We will definitely be returning. The view of the beach and the amenities were better than we expected. It’s in a great location, several places to eat nearby and not far from two big grocery stores. The staff member we met (Jason) was very nice and gave us a couple of good recommendations for restaurants. We wish we had made a longer reservation but it’s ok, we will be back!”

“Doggy vacation to Fort Desoto dog beach and Pass a Grille dog parks. The room was very spacious. We were on first floor. They have 2 dog rooms. No lobby, everything is done via email and text There is a quaint bar in the lobby. Excellent drinks. Room was comfortable. Darkening shades on window or bright sunlight if desired. Mellow music wafted for a bit on our side from bar across the street. We walked on a beautiful ocean pier. Gulfport is a fun place. Quirky. Imagine Key West before it got famous. We were given the most Lucious donuts. A bakery that is set to open was giving them away. A great hotel for laying low and seeing a slower pace for a couple days or a week. Kudos to the Bar Manager, she mixed a wicked margarita and a stunning Old Fashioned. Treated puppies like guests.”

“Very quaint, no frills lodging. Wonderful staff. The lodging is clean and well kept. The beach is very deep here so be prepared to walk a ways to the water. But it is beautiful and worth the walk.”

“Very lovely and cozy hotel! The entire area and the hotel make you feel like you traveled back in time to Florida in the '60s.The employees are very nice and kind. They have self-checkout and are very good about security. Doors are closed at 9 pm, you can access the hotel with a code that every guest gets, and the code is updated every couple of days.The room was very comfortable, with soft pillows, and a good mattress. Everything was very clean. We had a lot of natural light in our room and we woke up to the sound of birds. Nearby you could see peacocks walking by in the morning. The entire area has a lot of wild birds.We thought the breakfast was not going to be good based on our experience in other hotels. But, what a great surprise to find out they have a very nice breakfast with lots of options. We had waffles every day, you cook them yourself with an easy waffle machine, it was very nice.”

“We absolutely loved staying at Five Palms, we stayed in unit 110, and the wrap around deck made our stay even better. You couldn’t ask for a nicer staff, Christy was amazing! She made a point to check on us to make sure we didn’t need anything before she left for the day, and Mary was so sweet! We can’t wait for our next stay there.”

“We were visiting family for Thanksgiving and decided to take advantage of the fantastic hospitality and beautiful ambiance at the Opal Sol for their delicious brunch. This was a wonderful option for our family of 8 as while my sister is an amazing cook, this year she is in recovery mode after a long year of her battle against breast cancer.

Everything from beginning to end was great. Warm, friendly service. A wide variety of delicious & allergy friendly options.

“Een oud Florida hotel met charme.Begin mei logeerden we voor 4 dagen in surf and sand.We kregen de kamer welke we geboekt hadden, met zicht op de bay en gelijkvloers kamer nr 7.Eerste zicht toen we binnen kwamen was het netjes.Maar toen we in de badkamer kwamen zagen we grote stukken uit de badkuip.We dachten we gaan toch geen bad nemen en alleen de douche gebruiken dus we laten het voor wat het is.De witte handdoeken waren wel gewassen maar hadden toch geen echt proper uitzicht( geel en dof van kleur)De bedden waren heel netjes en comfortabel.Maar de filters van airco naast het bed waren niet proper. Als je die opzette kwam er veel stof uit dat tot op het bed vloog.Dus lag ik een handdoek op het bed zodat het vuil niet op het bed kon vliegen.Gelukkig moesten we s'nachts geen airco opzetten omdat de nachten aangenaam waren.In de keuken was alles aanwezig om een aangenaam verblijf te hebben.De zetel was een leuk extra.Meubeltjes waren modern en in goede staat.Vloer was ook aan vervanging toe.Zwembad is klein maar ideaal om even in af te koelen.Genoeg stoelen rond zwembad en buiten aanwezig.Rustig gelegen en op wandelafstand van de drukte en van het strand.Na dat ik een andere kamer had kunnen zien op het eerste verdiep was ik teleur gesteld over onze kamer.Dus kamer nr 7 heeft dringend wat vernieuwing nodig.Dus bij volgend bezoek vraag ik een kamer die vernieuwing heeft gekregen.En ja, we gaan hier zeker nog logeren. We hebben van ons verblijf genoten en hebben ons proberen niet te storen aan de verouderde kamer.Tot ons volgend verblijf.Chantal en Jack Hoppe”

“I just had the best pre-birthday getaway in Room 5! The room was sparkling clean and so so charming! Every piece in the room was curated so beautifully. The service was very friendly and the property was lovingly maintained. A 30-second walk to the beach and I was sipping coffee and reading a great book on the beach chair they provided. “The Sea Jay is a great place to stay. This is our second year vacationing here, and we love the location, staff and the pool. Its a smaller hotel (which we prefer) and the staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. Waffle House is one block away, public beach access is 2 blocks away, and the grocery store is a 15 minute walk. Several restaurants in the area, with delivery options. Yes the rooms are simple with basic furnishings and a small bathroom (some may call it dated, I call it retro) but the price is affordable for a week's stay. I almost didn't want to write a review, so we could keep this place a secret! But we love it so much here. Will be coming back next year for sure”

“The hotel has an excellent location to the beach, restaurants and shops. Parking was free. We stayed for 6 days and the room was not cleaned. You need to take out the trash yourself, you can get fresh towels from the office if you find an employee there, and the same goes for beach towels. Before arriving, I asked a question about chairs for the beach and was told that they were provided, but in fact there were none. The bathroom is small, especially the shower, very uncomfortable. The bed was a queen size, which is not suitable for sleeping two adults, it was a pain for us.”

“Kayla was our event coordinator for my wedding. She was absolutely amazing. My mom and I are very detail oriented people (to say the least), and Kayla was the best fit for us! She was professional, extremely timely with her responses, kind, calm and we felt like we could trust her with ANYTHING! The staff at the Wyndham were great, our guests raved about the food, everything from starting the planning to the wedding day itself went off without a hitch. Thank you Kayla and the Wyndham team for making my wedding day the best day of my life. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about planning a wedding here!”

“We booked a long weekend at Shephard's Beach for Valentines Day. I booked a pool view room, as the Gulf view rooms were sold out. I called the resort directly, a couple of days before arrival and spoke to April. She was so friendly and helpful and I put a request in for Gulf View in case there were any cancelations. When we got there, our room was in the perfect location. Pool view and we could still see the ocean. The band playing that weekend was amazing as well. The music didn't bother us at all while in the room. We made dinner reservations for Valentines day at The Cove Kitchen, and the food and drinks were both amazing. We will be back.....”

“This is a very quant place for a condo. It’s nice and quiet! The property is beautiful. The management does a really great job making you feel at home. Plus, they have a few special things they do for those who are apart of the community! I love this place!”

“First off, let me say that Randy at the front desk was amazing the whole time we stayed there this past week. He was very attentive on our check-in. He helped out when I had a little issue down at the beach and he took care of us the entire stay - very professional.

The location was also great. It’s right on the beach - just a couple of steps and you’re right there on it. The cabanas were included with our room. And the view from my room looked right out onto the beach. We even had a mini elevator right outside our door that was very convenient, but we couldn’t hear it while we were sleeping, so that was awesome.

Speaking of the room, it was clean. One thing I’d say is there’s a little piece of carpet around the bed that I would remove, but the rest of the floor is like vinyl or something that’s easy to clean.

The pool was nice. We didn’t try the restaurant so I can’t comment on that.

We had to leave the hotel at 5 AM to catch our flight and the front desk already had coffee ready that was pretty amazing as well.

There were lots of shops and restaurants around in walking distance. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back when we visit my son again.

It’s only a three star hotel but the people there like Randy made it feel top-notch.”

“Our stay at #405 was even better than we thought it would be. We absolutely love the location! The views off the balcony and from the master bedroom were incredicle, especially sunrises! The weather in January was perfect and 95% of the time we didnt need A/C ! Love sleeping with the windows open! The accomodations were perfect size for us and a visiting couple. The Beds and bedding were so comfortable! The view and sunsets from outside the front door were stunning! All dining was within walking distance. Two major supermarkets within a mile! Just a mile away is Barnacle Bills boat rentals. We rented a platoon boat and spent 4 fabulous hours cruising Boca Ciega bay! John was very responsive and helpful with the few questions we had! Only had to drive to Dali museum, the gym, golf , supermarket and Ted Peter's for smoked fish spread!Wish #405 was available next year, we love the views! Booked another unit for a longer time! The Skyline of Maderia will be a permenant trip for many winters to come!! Can't say enough about it!”

“This place has been year for as long as I’ve been going to Clearwater beach. It’s a small resort but very good service and the rooms are always very clean. The location is amazing as it’s a few feet from the beach.
