“We had a wonderful vacation here! We stayed in room 10 for three nights and loved every minute. The room had everything we needed. The main reason we chose the sunburst inn was that they were pet friendly. We will definitely be returning. The view of the beach and the amenities were better than we expected. It’s in a great location, several places to eat nearby and not far from two big grocery stores. The staff member we met (Jason) was very nice and gave us a couple of good recommendations for restaurants. We wish we had made a longer reservation but it’s ok, we will be back!”

“I don’t have a problem with keyless entry. But the person on the phone giving us advice to get into the front door was really negligent in telling us to press check so none of the codes were working, but we never pressed check eventually we figured it out I’m 73 so it was a little difficult with the luggage going upstairs cause the elevator wasn’t working other than that I thought it was wonderful and we will be renting again.”

“We were lucky enough to spend a wonderful weekend at the Opal Sol Resort with many of our friends and family for a birthday weekend celebration. Each person commented that this was one of the nicest hotels they had been to. Everything from the decor, the food, the spa, the staff and of course the location was fantastic. “LOVE this place! Super cute dock area in the back where you can relax in the chairs they have there, well-maintained pool outside, and it's nice and quiet. It's close enough that you can walk to the shopping area nearby, but far enough away that it is peaceful. I stayed here with my family (husband and adult children) and would definitely stay here again. Frienly hosts and clean rooms!”

“Been coming here since I was a kid and now am bringing my kids here. The place is conveniently close to restraunts and stores. It's on the beach and not overly crowded. Has great amenities and comfortable. Excited to build memories with my kids here like I had growing up.”
“I booked the room last minute. Now I'm in a wheelchair and the room that they provide me with 100% ADA Compliant to every aspect. From the moment I pulled up the valet staff was extremely accommodating stating that they would even give you my keys so I can just go back and forth to my car as I please because it is valet only. I said no that's okay but thank you. Natalia at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating and extremely helpful. I then decided to go get food at the Chop House there called HEW. I had a waitress by the name of Kaitlyn, and she was the sweetest and most bubbliest and most down-to-earth friendliest server I've ever had and I would recommend her 1,000%! The food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. I 100% recommend! And also request her as your server. And then I met a maintenance guy while I was on the roof looking at the beach named Charlie and super friendly and he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and the atmosphere and the surroundings of the area. Once again I would definitely recommend this hotel”

“This was an amazing spot for my children - pool opened at the right time and gym was easy access - the walk right in and people have left boogie boards and life jackets so just ask. Also the smores…..love that it is a nightly thing. The drinks for kids and adults (with kid stickers) was a win 2x daily. I asked for conditioner refill and got 100* . Love this place and will be back. The beach sand is so amazing it can’t compare to anywhere else.”

“The Sea Jay is a great place to stay. This is our second year vacationing here, and we love the location, staff and the pool. Its a smaller hotel (which we prefer) and the staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. Waffle House is one block away, public beach access is 2 blocks away, and the grocery store is a 15 minute walk. Several restaurants in the area, with delivery options. Yes the rooms are simple with basic furnishings and a small bathroom (some may call it dated, I call it retro) but the price is affordable for a week's stay. I almost didn't want to write a review, so we could keep this place a secret! But we love it so much here. Will be coming back next year for sure”

“The hotel has an excellent location to the beach, restaurants and shops. Parking was free. We stayed for 6 days and the room was not cleaned. You need to take out the trash yourself, you can get fresh towels from the office if you find an employee there, and the same goes for beach towels. Before arriving, I asked a question about chairs for the beach and was told that they were provided, but in fact there were none. The bathroom is small, especially the shower, very uncomfortable. The bed was a queen size, which is not suitable for sleeping two adults, it was a pain for us.”

All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Not close to the beach but this is why the price is reasonable. We would definitely return.”
“All I can say is WoW... I am not a person who is easily impressed. But this location is phenomenal. Right on the Clearwater Beach. Beautiful views from almost every room. The cleanliness is unparallel. Take it from someone who has cleaning OCD. Everywhere I looked someone was cleaning something. The guardrails by the pool the lobby the elevators. They also have valet parking. The restaurants and amenities at this location are so worth the stay. The gym is beautiful with a view to the ocean which helps a workout be more enjoyable. The entire staff were so nice and accommodating. Everyone greets you and ask if you need anything.
The pool and and hot tub areas were so clean and This is one of the first hotels that when they say they have a heated pool you actually feel it. The hot tub was beyond hot amazing and relaxing. The fact that they are open until 3:00 a.m. is a huge plus. The rooms also include two lounge chairs and an umbrella at the beach which is right across the street. So no need to get up too early or fight anyone for a spot.
The location is also right next to Pier 60. It's great for fishing shopping there's a couple of rides and activities. I definitely enjoyed shopping local and handmade gifts.
If I could get this resort more than five stars I would. What a great vacation. I can't wait to come back.”

“Location was excellent! 2 minute walk from the beach. My party of five fit comfortably on our room with two full beds and a futon. Clean and spacious room. Plenty of towels for the room and pool. Two tvs were entertaining for the family either in the room and the kitchen area. AC was cold just the way we like it. Staff were super helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back.”

“We booked a long weekend at Shephard's Beach for Valentines Day. I booked a pool view room, as the Gulf view rooms were sold out. I called the resort directly, a couple of days before arrival and spoke to April. She was so friendly and helpful and I put a request in for Gulf View in case there were any cancelations. When we got there, our room was in the perfect location. Pool view and we could still see the ocean. The band playing that weekend was amazing as well. The music didn't bother us at all while in the room. We made dinner reservations for Valentines day at The Cove Kitchen, and the food and drinks were both amazing. We will be back.....”

From the moment we walked into the condo, we were very impressed with the cleanliness and extras the host provided -- kleenex, paper towels, bath and pool towels to name a few. The kitchen cupboards were well stocked with cookware and utensils. The livingroom furniture and washer and dryer are brand new! We loved the beach themed artwork and decor. The view of the inlet from the balcony was a great way to watch the sunrise and relax during the day and at night. We appreciated the short walk to the beach (with chairs and umbrella provided!) We went swimming in the pool on the property 4 of 8 days. It was clean and well-maintained. Communication with our VRBO host was prompt and friendly and we truly appreciate renting from him. We HIGHLY recommend Unit #405 at Skyline of Madeira Resort!! ⛱🌴😎”
“First off, let me say that Randy at the front desk was amazing the whole time we stayed there this past week. He was very attentive on our check-in. He helped out when I had a little issue down at the beach and he took care of us the entire stay - very professional.
The location was also great. It’s right on the beach - just a couple of steps and you’re right there on it. The cabanas were included with our room. And the view from my room looked right out onto the beach. We even had a mini elevator right outside our door that was very convenient, but we couldn’t hear it while we were sleeping, so that was awesome.
Speaking of the room, it was clean. One thing I’d say is there’s a little piece of carpet around the bed that I would remove, but the rest of the floor is like vinyl or something that’s easy to clean.
The pool was nice. We didn’t try the restaurant so I can’t comment on that.
We had to leave the hotel at 5 AM to catch our flight and the front desk already had coffee ready that was pretty amazing as well.
There were lots of shops and restaurants around in walking distance. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back when we visit my son again.
It’s only a three star hotel but the people there like Randy made it feel top-notch.”
