When this public was built seven years ago, it was a lifesaver for Islamorada

Clean, brightly lit, and oddly designed on the exterior (looks like a bunch of condos). I lived in FL for almost 20 years and have been to multiple Publix locations, so I can freely say that making subs is really hit or miss. This was a miss. The chicken tender sub is awesome when it is done right. The tenders were cold, dry, and very little buffalo sauce was used. We were there at near peak dinner hours, so it was disappointing as I hadn't had one in a few years as I moved out of Florida. Our other shopping was fine, but Snapple, Arizona, and other teas are located in the chips aisle, not the soda nor water aisles. No mention of it on the signage above each aisle. Kind of an oddity. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Great experience at the Islamorada Publix today! This is a fairly new store and it looks gorgeous inside and out. The Florida Sun will take care of that in a few years but it's so nice going into such a perfect store for now. The layout is different from what I'm used to over in the Melbourne, FL area, but I really like it! There's an aisle cut out through the center so you can jump between aisles without having to go all the way to the end each time. Very cool.
So I've been on a journey to find Pineapple Spindrift for the past two months. Every Publix I go to is out. I'm down here in the keys on vacation and I swing by the water aisle just to check and there it is in all its glory! A full facing of Pineapple Spindrift! I had a raincheck from the last time they were but one get one free, but with my luck, it expired two days ago. With classic Publix style amazing customer service though, the manager gladly accepted it. He also gave me a good tip I never knew (see below).
This is a fantastic Publix location! Highly recommended.
Pro tip: You can ask the manager to "special order" any item missing off the shelf. They'll order it, contact you when it comes in, and even set it aside for you.
