I have had my business banking account at Ameris for several years. Recently I needed help with an issue caused by my credit card processing company.I was treated with respect and kindness and the highest level of customer service. I was helped by Travis Myers of the Jacksonville Beach branch and I could not have been more pleased. I love Ameris bank. I’ve been a customer for many years. Every time I walk in the lobby, and it’s been and a few different locations and rarely at that, I always feel comfortable and at home. The employees are always super nice and helpful. I’ve never had a bad experience even when I’d had fraudulent charges to my account. My account was locked immediately and we went over every recent charges I had to verify if they were mine. I quickly and easily got new cards (once I went into the branch to verify my identity) issued and handed to me. I’m soo glad to have chosen this bank soo many years ago.

Wonderful experience with Ameris, Ponte Vedra.We needed some assistance with our banking on a matter that was rather time-intensive. Matt Senn who I believe is the manager of this Ponte Vedra Branch was so responsive, and resolved what we needed as quickly as possible. Exceeded expectations. He was very kind and really cared about what we needed. He went the extra mile, for sure. Highly recommend this bank.

The app for this bank has never worked. I had to dispute charges and I was told it would be a week before I would get my money back. Also, the hours are worthless 9-4 and drive thru only on Saturday until noon. The atm does not have any means for cash deposits. Online banking doesn't work. The customer service is awful....the list goes on and on. Needless to say, I am looking for another bank asap.

My original HELOC was with Oceanside bank 10 years ago. Oceanside was the epitome of a customer centric, small community bank. Unfortunately, it was bought out by Jacksonville bank and then AGAIN by Ameris bank. Each buyout was worse than the last. For 10 years I paid BOTH interest and principle on an interest only Heloc. In 10 years, not one late payment. I was so disgusted with the new schedule of fees and the obviously unhappy employees when Ameris took over, I moved all my checking, money market accounts to another bank (credit union). Unfortunately I had to withstand the rude behavior of one of the employees every month to the point I literally dreaded going to that bank to make my monthly heloc payment. I was given a "courtesy call" from some person who was at another branch explaining my heloc had matured and was due and what was I going to do? I had 12 days. She explained they don't extend the loan and it was too late to refinance because that would take 30 -45 days. Ok - so I guess I have no options. Even Wells Fargo gives 90 days notice prior to a large balloon payment that is due. Additionally, the individual I spoke with had no knowledge of my loan. I had to tell her the particulars of it. It was obvious based on the conversation, that someone dropped the ball and they were in a panic to find out if they would get their money. Other than my monthly statements, I never received ANY notice that the loan was coming to mature. Yes, my responsibility to know when my loan matures but with a long term loan (second mortgage) it's general protocol to let the customer know. 12 days notice, I'm handicapped and they ask me "what I want to do?" well - I guess I don't have an option but to pay it. They gave me no options and then she couldn't give me a "payoff amount". She had to "order it". What? You call me and tell me my loan is due, then can't give me a payoff? SO it's a mystery? AM I supposed to guess? Long story short - my husband and I weren't given any options so I'm not quite sure why they keep asking and why they are in such a "hurry" to know when I will pay it off. They gave me 12 days. They had to "order" a payoff and that gave me 9 days. They made this into a cluster by their own incompetence. Worst EVER customer no service. I called the FDIC on this bank because of this practice of calling loan customers days before a long term note is due and WITHOUT giving the customer a chance of trying to refi the balloon. Thereby putting the customer in an untenable position. Like I said, not one late payment in 10 years and treated like this. Would have been nice if they would have "reached out" to us to help us determine what we COULD do, not what we couldn't do to solve the problem. Highly discourage anyone from this bank.

i have never been treated so poorly in my life. The 2 women that were working were sitting around chatting it up. And when i walked in they looked at me like i had interrupted their conversation. Not once but twice this has happened to me. Rude rude employees with Horrible customer service.
