Don't use adt. Canceling is incredibly frustrating experience.
Edit: I won't be calling. I've already called multiple times, chatted, been transferred multiple times, reexplained why I had to cancel many times, and finally, paid $1700 cancelation fee. DON'T USE ADT!

Whatever you do, do not get yourself locked into a contract with this crap company. I had to change my Wi-Fi because I moved and now apparently it's too strong to work with their system. They won't let me out of my contract so now I'm basically paying for a system that doesn't work. Don't do business with this company! You will be greatly disappointed.

Last Saturday we had a dodge challenger park at my home for 3 hours and my wife was home alone and afraid. She was concerned about the random vehicle with no company login etc. ..come to find out it was a ADT sales person.He stated that he drove his personal car. When I let my garage up, he was standing in my yard without a uniform . I’m not sure if he really was with ADT I don’t understand why he was in my yard and I didn’t ask for any service..or call ADT for any service…

Horrible company. If you think your rep is doing something nice to help? Don’t fall for it. It’s not true. It’s a scam or a hustle.CANCEL MY SERVICE!!!!!!!!They won’tI’ve been trying for months now

Bailee Lynn is firing people and not helping people and lying to people she lied I was getting ust to new position I didn't even know id have to go to relo I was told I can stay in call coordinator I never had trouble with any manager Justin was kind but bailee said I can go back to call coordinator because of my disability but then just blocked me and fired me that's crazy didn't even tell me what did I do to deserve that I have a disability I'm telling my attorney the relocation qualifier manager she just didn't like me because I had anxiety attack at work and was rude in her feelings daily fellow colleagues saying the same her pregnancy giving her bad mood swings that's not right to handle it like that and lie on me

My wife and I are new customers with ADT and are writing to file a formal complaint.We reached out to ADT to get an idea of the options that we would be given as we purchased a D.R. Horton home that came with $500 dollars of equipment in addition to the items that were already installed in the home upon purchase. In setting up the appointment, they would not give us an estimate of the total cost other than a monthly monitoring cost of 39.99. Once the technicians were in our home (one in training) they went to work to install the main control panel. Once installed they went through the different options. I informed them that I wanted the best option with the $500 dollars we were allotted with the purchase. The technician then adjusted the quote to approx. $2000 dollars over the $500 dollar allotment. I again told him that I did not want to spend more than the $500. He said he would not do anything less than the $2000 dollar quote. He then told me that it could be broken up into 3 payments. I told him that I did not want to do that as I didn’t want to put my family in a financial situation. He continued to say he wouldn’t go any lower than that. I felt like I had no choice but to sign the document as they would not come up with a solution that met my family’s needs. It was also not disclosed until after the document was signed (with much hesitation and a feeling that I had no other choice but to sign) that it was a 3 year commitment. I would have never signed up for the technician to come to our home if I knew the cost that would be incurred with the service and the commitment that we would be under. I do not appreciate the technician not being customer centric and ensuring that our family’s needs are being met.We also were billed 106.98 on 12/5/22 without our authorization.We would like the ability to work with ADT on a reasonable solution to the issues identified in this document.I have also filed a formal complaint with ADT with no response.

I wish I could give less than a star. My husband and I canceled our service in August after lighting struck our house and we needed a new camera and we found it in order to get back up and running it would cost more than when we first got the system.Since canceling we have still been charged because instead of actually canceling the agent decided to just lower the bill amount in which we told them we did not want because THE EQUIPMENT DOES NOT WORK.Fast forward to today, I have been hung up on while on hold twice and my husband has been on hold for 2 hours. This is Crazy. How is NO ONE able to help us.DO NOT USE ADT.

Please don't enter into this jail they force to stay with them under a 3 years contract that renews automatically no matter if the service they 'provide" does not work my cameras has not worked for 3 months they do not care and they told me if you want to exit adt you have to pay us 300 penalty fee the first service that charges you for canceling horrible service O starts horrible customer service waiting for 2 hours in a call nobody answers.

This is a two part review. One is for the install, the other for ADT itself. The first is that they charged me almost three times to install the system, I gave them very specific details of the system and coverage I wanted. I had been a customer in another state for the prior 15 years. They rep even told me how much I would like the new graphic keypads. "They are like iPads mounted to the wall" he told me. What I got was the plain old cheap keypads. "Just use online" the installer told me. They tried to do the bare minimum, not the things I asked for. And STILL charged more than 3x what they quoted. Then I told them I wasn't signing a three year contract. "Oh everyone has to" I was told. Nope. Keep it then. They gave me a one year. But kept trying to change it being sneaky every time I signed something. Then they tried to use half of my existing equipment. They also took the old keypads, which were the expensive type, without asking me. The install was a mess. Now on to the service. The app is useless. By the time it brings up the cameras, they are well gone out of your house. Wait, and wait and wait. And speaking of waiting, call ADT right now at 800-ADT-ASAP and see how long it takes to talk to someone. This is an alarm company and they don't have enough people to answer the phones. Unacceptable. Something wrong with the system? They can have someone come out in between two or three weeks. Again, unacceptable. Then they raise the already expensive monthly rate every year. You can tell them you don't approve and they will go back down, but you have to call. That's your reward for staying a loyal customer. Now they are telling people if they sign a new contract, they will lock in your monthly rate. How about you keep your contract and I'm not giving you more money? To sum it up, less service and wants more money. There's other companies out there that cost a lot less and give you a lot more. And unlike ADT, you don't have to sign a new contract and pay for someone to come out every time you want to add to it.

If you are trying to protect yourself in a domestic violence situation DO NOT get ADT. They misrepresent how the system will protect and fraudulently get you into a 6 year contract. All a determined individual has to do is disable the wifi and the system is useless, but they won’t tell you this until after you buy. Then they won’t do anything to help you and you’re locked into a 72 month (7200$!!!) contract. They take advantage of people at their most vulnerable.

ADT Blue has been a nightmare. I call in regularly about something not working. With that being said, I would recommend troubleshooting yourself with the app because the tech support isn’t much help. I’ve been hung up on multiple times - I assume when it’s an issue they don’t want to deal with.
