I wanted to try the fufu because I heard it was good. I ordered my food, and I asked the young lady who prepared my food if they had a military discount .She directed me to the store area where the owner was, which is a lady with bleached skin. She was the rudest thing I ever saw, and the food was too expensive, 18.99 and $9 for and extra fufu if i wanted more than my order' for wet bread fufu very expensive. She Went on expressing to me how she was the owner and the young lady always doing things she shouldn't do' I felt very uncomfortable "when the young lady clearly stated she had given discounts in the past. She took $1 off and still gave me the round amount of $20. I asked what she took off 10%, and she got so nasty saying she gave me $1, and I act like I wasn't happy. " $1 is nothing to me."I'm blessed beyond that!!! I told her just charge me regular price either you give or you don't it wasn't a big deal. Also, the information she was telling me regarding the young lady as a customer it should have been handled differently between & her employee, and I told her this. Also, the place does not look clean at all, I end up trashing my food. A person so nasty in attitude I wouldn't never eat from. I would never go back, she do not need to run a restaurant more a juggle. The food can't be made with love. I HAVE 1 REGRET, NOT LEAVING THAT NASTY FOOD AT HER BUSINESS. NEVER AGAIN. Ms. Owner kindness takes us far and respecting people. 1 customer service lead to many, just like 1 horrible experience lead to none. I wouldn't dare eat from you!!!

Order Equsi soup, fufu, and jollof rice. Equsi soup wasn't cooked with the protein. There was three proteins to choose from all in the same pan. I did not like having to mix my protein into my egusi. It was not flavorful. I had to do a remix (add my own seasoning at home) of seasoning. The jollof rice was hard and dry. I will not be going back to this place. For me, it was a waste of good money.

Really friendly folks here. I like to stop in and get some Africa snacks. Having lived 17 years in Africa, this place brings back good memories.

Food taste great but over the years the portions are smaller and smaller. They used to fill up my bowl...now 1/3 of the bowl is filled...then if you ask for 1 more spoon..its $6..for one spoon more of soup...great tasting food but very expensive..the fufu outlast the soup now.

I totally enjoyed my experience. Ms. Joy was totally down to earth, and not just trying to take your money. Everything that I tasted for my event was delightful. I was trying not to scrape the bowl lol. Even the grocery store had reasonable items.

The food was horrible. I ordered the Meat Egusi. I will attach pictures. I recieved a 1/3 cup of egusi and a tiny piece of chicken only and pounded yam. That was the most dissapointing food I've ever recieved. I won't ever go back. I love african food but that was not it.

Small but very neat and fully stocked. I didn't buy anything because their internet was down and the checkout system was not working.

So the food is great.... but as of recent, since the owner hasn't been working much, the portion size seems to fluctuate. Also, since the owner hasn't been working the register, the price you are rung up for, seems to fluctuate. Tuesday I can come in and buy soup w/Fufu only and pay 15.99 and the next day I pay 16.99. One day I can come in and get chicken as my meat of choice and I'm charged 18.99 though2 days prior I paid 17.99. I never comment, I normally just take my food and go. Other than that the food is wonderful, definitely much better than another location here that is no competition.

I usually just get 3 scoops of veggie soup for $15 but TODAY, just TODAY, The “manager” told me she would not sell me any soup without fufu “just for today” I was so hungry but I don’t eat fufu and when I questioned her about it we actually got into a full fledged argument about it and she turned me away, then she sat down to eat infront of me. How was I supposed to know that TODAY they made too much fufu?? This place is so childish it’s ridiculous. They’ve changed their pricing in front of me at least 3 times. ITS ALL OVERPRICED ANYWAY. I think they take advantage of homesickness. They won’t make it past the next recession. I need a recommendation for another Nigerian restaurant because this one is unprofessional.

I wonder what can make one give this wonderful and unique restaurant less than 5 *****Cleanliness: sparkling!Customer service: Treats customers like family, warm/friendly,Price: Fair, affordable for such delicacies.Compare that to Other city specialty restaurants. Of course, those who love "all you can eat "may not be happy.I love it. Cow skin, feet, tripes, fish!!!. Egussi, Veggies, Fufu, Fried Rice, ... finger leaking food. ...to create your tradition, initiate and raise your own tribe in USA.
