I have not been to Aldi in a while, at least in the states. I did shop Aldi/Hoffa just in August while in Austria. The European parent would be disappointed as I was. I came specifically to Aldi looking for a particular item and to my surprise, there was nothing, none, zero!!!! WOW! On the plus side, nice to see there are self-check out stations.

I shopped at Aldi for the first time in months --bought their (Bremer) lasagna. It was really bad! I'd rather shop somewhere else and pay $2 more than subject myself to their lab-cteated experiment, they try to pass off as food. It's not real food! No wonder Americans are so unhealthy. Shame on you, Aldi!

I really like it there. Food is delish. I do wish they would offer more low calorie foods tho.

Javon is the best cashier at any Aldi I've been to because he respects your items! He nicely placed items in the cart, which I've never had at any Aldi location in the many years we've shopped with Aldi. I've had cashiers actually throw my items on the floor or break my items because they are scanning and moving items so quickly. Javon was still quick at checking us out, but treated our items nicely and was very polite to us as well. Just wanted to give him credit.

MILK AND EGGS
That was the nail in the coffin for Publix.
Listen, I'm a Florida boy through and through. I love Publix... but my wallet does not.
I shop at Aldi once a week, for 2 adults and 2 kids (13/8 yo boys). This store has literally cut my food bill in half.
The key is to stick to the ALDIs brands (as they do sell name brand food too). 80% of their food is as good as other stores. The rest is ok.
The "staples": Meat, Dairy, Eggs, Produce... Are great, and CHEAP. 2$ for a dozen eggs!
Try ALDI, you don't have to tell Publix, it will be our secret.
