“Very nice place, big homeless scene outside the museum but they’re just tryna get by like the rest of us. The museum had some very nice art pieces and it an overall nice and chill experience. Also it’s free on Saturday so that’s a plus.”
“Fun place I am a member here. Quality post bohemian artists and musicians hang out here. Good to go somewhere to hang out for conversation without nightly cover charge or pressure to buy stuff when you pay for a monthly membership around 20 bucks per month. Good place to meet people if you are introverted or new to Jacksonville or passing through - MIKE”
“Scott Riley and his team are a true gem in San Marco. Mr. Riley was beyond helpful in finding what we were looking for within our specific criteria. The pieces available in the gallery as well as his wide range of connections helped us find a perfect piece! You will not be disappointed with a visit here. Just be forewarned you will want to take multiple pieces home!”
“James was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable in the art work they have on display. The history within this building is astonishing. Will be back soon can’t wait to tell everyone I know about this awesome gem.”
“I attended the "The way I see it " competition at the arts center in support of one of my favorite artists, Walden. Although he did not win I fell in love with his peace entitled Queen of the Nile. I also admired his guitar player and the rendering of the new Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. His work with silver includes platters spoons forks and knives. It is unique and original. I enjoy attending the shows at the arts center and seeing what the artists will come up with next.”
“Suffers from the same plight as almost all grand public libraries: they become de facto homeless shelters. I was asked for money.
Truly great library though.”
