My son's wedding is coming up in less than 2 weeks. The dress I ordered online did not fit... So I was scrambling today to find a replacement. I visited this Ashley Stewart location and as soon as I walked through the door the lady behind the counter told me dresses were on sale for $29.99. (yay!).
I don't typically wear dresses so I was not at all comfortable with picking one out for the wedding... But Phyllis, the lovely lady who was helping me, patiently let me model several outfits and gave me some great tips.
The entire experience was fabulous.

Customer service was so stale. The attitudes on some of the ladies are as if they don’t wanna be there or they don’t wanna be dealing with you. It was so off putting BOTH times i came there. I came there shopping for a funeral and as sad as it already is to have to be coming there for that reason. The customer service didn’t make it any better what so ever. The cloths wear nice and all but that customer service will have me at another plus size store. We traveled approximately a hour just to come there and be met with such bad service. If that business was one that thrived off service as much as they do the quality of the cloths, a lot of people wouldn’t shop there. Will not be returning.
Response to owner : Thank you for delivering the same copy paste response you give to every review. It truly shows how much you care about your business. I really hope you do something about that store.

Away from home, this location in California the staff was nice and pleasant. Although, this location couldn’t accommodate my (tall statue), they have very nice accessories that I did purchase.

Maybe inside the store is better than online because the customer service online is horrible to say the least. I’m sure the person was copying and pasting the same message to me over and over. Wasn’t looking into the issue. Kept telling me incorrect information which let me know the rep wasn’t looking and the issue that I initially was talking about never got resolved. I will never order another thing and honestly it makes me not want to even go inside the store. Good luck. If you don’t wanna work with people then don’t get a customer service job simple

Placed an order online and had to do a return. The lady that assisted had such a nasty attitude. If you don’t like dealing with people you shouldn’t have a customer service position.

I purchased an e-gift card for my sister on Jul18 for her birthday. She went to the store and the e-gift card had a zero (0) balance. I called and made them aware of what had transpired. I was informed that they saw were it was sent to her and the amount. The agent consulted with the manager and stated it had to be escalated to headquarters and I would be notified via my email within 3-5 business days. It is now August 4, and I still don’t have a response. I called today and was told they have to submit another ticket with a new claim # and it would take another 3-5 business days. She stated i was being escalated again. ?♀️ Both agents were very friendly!

Ordered a high low top on line, received wrong item. Ordered the item second time received wrong item. Spoke with rep explain the problem after checking they had the wrong stock list for item ordered. Was advised will send a free return label, to find out I was charged $8 for label. I had to pay for store stocking error and never received product. Ashley Stewart robbed me, I will never order or go into one of there stores again. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.

I used to love this store. They Always had something for a last minute event. Customer service is not like it used to be. A lot of what you are looking for is only carried online. And most recently I went to make a return and exchange a size and the store closed 40 minutes before the published time. Store locked and dark.
