We rented from this place a couple of times before off of a recommendation from my wife’s coworker with no problems.
It seems the third time was NOT the charm. The one 800 number professional took a card number and promised a reservation that did not show up at the store
and the lady at the store was uncharacteristically unpleasant. She acted as if we were trying to pull a fast one and not a regular customer; as if we were a disruption to her day and not the reason for it!
This most recent visit surprised me greatly but from looking at these comments that’s not an unusual occurrence
very disappointing and not sure I’m likely to return.
I think it bothers me more than it seemed to bother her because the service was decent, which usually motivates me to give consistent business.
I would think that she be willing to work with us, considering that this branch has been the Go To for rental cars for us for a few trips.
Not good at all….. and I wish I didn’t have to report that

Avis was very clean. The lady working at the desk was quick. The car was good and clean.
The lady at the front desk never talked about the cost of the rental or if there was a deposit. Overall experience was great. Highly recommend.

Unreliable location due to its lack of cars (apparently based on other reviews, it doesn't seem to matter if it's a holiday weekend or not) and the cars that ARE available are disgusting inside and outside.
Wanted just a regular, basic sedan, but because everything was rented out despite our reservation, they could only offer us a pickup truck or a Tesla.
Given the long drive ahead, the Tesla was the lesser of two evils.
Discovered something wrong with the left wheel/tire while driving back home, so we promptly drove it back and the people at this location said the only option we had was to drive this faulty car 45 minutes to the airport and switch it out there. Huh? Why would I risk my safety to right YOUR wrong + neglect?
Next, to make matters worse, this car smelled like smoke and was filthy-- the outside had the entire spring season's collection of pollen on it and inside, I witnessed in horror A LIVE COCKROACH crawl back behind the glove compartment, probably to tell the rest of its family that there are new people to terrorize.
We initially needed a car for 3 days but ended up only having this car for less than an hour, which they still charged us a full day for with no added benefits for the inconvenience of being in that cursed cockroach carriage.
Don't bother renting from this location. It might be cheap but even then it's not worth the headache.

This is the last place to ever book a car The lady that was at the front desk has horrible customer service she needs to be fired no patience at all or understanding

They run out of cars pretty often they dont care if u rented a month ahead of time and paid in full they just end up giving u something u don't want like a van or full sized long beg work truck when rented an economy car to save gas for long trip.

I should be able to rate no stars but DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!! This place charged me $450 to deep clean the car that was supposedly not brought back in the same condition. There were no pictures or proof and when we got the car there was trash in the car to begin with that we had to throw away. They might be cheap to begin with but once you return the car you have to watch out for transactions they’ll start adding up in the end. I had gotten charged three weeks after I returned the car. This is 100% a place that does scams.

Horrible place to rent from, so many hidden charges they don’t tell you about and when you return the vehicle they want to come with random stuff so they can charge you more

Don’t rent here if you don’t want to be overcharged, they said the car I returned was dirty and wanted to charge $500 for a “deep cleaning”. They just like to take advantage of people

Only place I rent from in JAX now. . . They are the absolute best! I have tried other places that are closer to me and the service is just not the same. Highly recommend them!

I rent a lot for work and the location is easy and convenient to get in and out off. The owner is always pleasant and helpful. Much better service then a lot of other Avis locations I have rented from and because of that I will continue to rent cars from this locution.
