Atmosphere was ok . Menu is not full , it’s Ucranian Cafe so you expect something Eastern European food ( this is what advertising shows ) no borsch available or over European dishes . Pierogi wasn’t made in restaurant you can feel they purchased from some Russian store . Waiter he is cook and he is waiter and cashier all in one )

While driving this morning, I came across this amazing café and restaurant where I tried the croissant with lox, salmon, and pistachio saffron latte. I instantly fell in love with the delicious food and the amazing drink.

Quality and truely delicious ! This place has the BEST croissants I've ever eaten and I have been to Paris. My husband Rich and I eat them right out of the box. We love the owner as he has remembered us and our orders. I grew up in a polish home so know homemade pirogies and these rival my great aunts'.

Today was breakfast at this quaint little spot on Lomax. It was my second visit, this time with the company of my hubby. Both times our chef was the chef, wait staff cashier, the entire staff. Both times my dish, excellent. Shakshuka!! It was just right, cumin, cucumbers, nice firm tomato's, feta, savory. Oh, yeah, the eggs!!. It's an egg dish, 2 eggs scrambled or up easy, covered in this wonderful & veggie, cilantro tomato saucy meal served in the skillet. So, the hubby went wild with a egg, cheese, bacon, ham croissant sammy. He gave it a 3 because it was a little cold in the middle. But, a big fully stuffed sandwich! And sandwiches can be eaten cold, just sayin' And chef was working alone. There were several to go orders & one other customer. The music was lively, too! Enough "special" variety for me. Continued good business to this spot!!

We went in this morning for the first time to the restaurant. We have ordered delivery from here for a while. Alex was so nice. The restaurant is super clean. We tried the cinnamon roll croissant. All I can say is OMG! regular cinnamon rolls are ruined forever with me. These were the best. Combining their amazing croissant (best in town) with a cinnamon roll. Amazing. We also got the gauva turnover. Again, wow, these are great. Thank you to Alex for taking the time to speak with us.

We had an excellent breakfast today and enjoyed talking with the owner Alex about his restaurant. Looking forward to going back and trying the chicken schwarma which he says is one of the most popular items.

Delicious perogies. Shawarma is tasty but I like it better with rice. French fries take away from the European flare. I didn’t care for the salty hummus. It’s always hot inside.

The food is overpriced and not delicious!! The cafe has nothing to do with Ukrainian food. Shawarma sauce tasted like curry?? overall, very disappointing experience. Won’t be ordering again.Update:And from the reply to my review, we all can see clearly how rude this business is to its customers. Definitely won’t waste my money here again. Again, do not recommend!Explaining my original comment: I’ve only seen pierogies from Ukrainian foods on the menu. The rest is Uzbek, Mediterranean and American. This is NOT Ukrainian restaurant. The food is overpriced not because of quantity but because of quality. We ordered a little bit of everything and every single dish either had an excessive amount of salt or tasted funny. Nothing was delicious except the red velvet cake but it was probably store bought.

I believe this is the best European cafe in Jacksonville—a true gem! The coffee and food are excellent, and the hours are incredibly convenient. The owner is fantastic, truly bringing the essence of European hospitality to life.As for the negative reviews, I would take them with a grain of salt. They seem to stem from those who may not fully appreciate the unique culture and atmosphere that this cafe offers. To truly appreciate this cafe, one might just need a traveler's curiosity and openness.

Do your taste buds a favor and go. Highly recommend the garlic herb flatbread with a dip or two - the hummus and ajvar are fantastic. Can't go wrong with some perogies or shawarma either. An awesome spot overall, and the owner is a great guy serving up some wonderfully flavorful food.
