Don't waste your time or money with Kuan. She is never on time for scheduled appointments! Especially if it's morning appointments. If your hair breaks, falls out, gets frizzy from over processing, she will blame any/all issues on you, like you had build up and you didn't rinse it out enough when washing. If you send a deposit via Zelle and send her a screenshot showing its completed, but she doesnt get it right away, she'll tell you if someone else pays a deposit sooner, they'll get your appointment time. Like I have any control over the Zelle app or the bank processing time. I booked in advance, paid a deposit, and then the day before my appointment, she sent a text saying the hair products delivery is running late, due to the weather. I told her I couldn't come that late in the day, so just refund my deposit, and I'll have to schedule another time. She says the deposit is not refundable. Even though I booked in advance and it was her fault in not ensuring that she had the products ahead of the scheduled appointment. If the tables were turned, I would have apologized to my client and refunded their deposit. Not to mention, she quoted a price, and then a weeks or so later, Kuan sent a text saying prices are going up for products since she was told hair products prices are going up, so now it's going to cost more than she previously quoted....Who does that?! When you quote someone a price for a service, you should keep your word and charge them the price quoted. Not to mention the language barrier and trying to understand her texts. She will argue with her customers, so if you expect good customer service, professionalism and someone who respects their client's time/schedules, then don't bother wasting your time going to Kuan! Save your time, money, and avoid the headache and stress. She has a lot to learn about conducting business in a professional, respectful, reliable manner, to provide good customer service.

Me and my sister went to Kuan for the first time. She did japanese hair treatment for me to fix my dry hair. I also got a stylish haircut and color. It was a long process but Kuan offered us drinks and snacks. She even played a movie for me because it took a while. But it was all worth it. Thank you Kuan!

I’ve seen Christina now for three visits and I am so happy to have found her. What a wonderful colorist she is. Plus, she gives me a great bouncy cut, which makes my thinning hair look much thicker. Her sweet disposition makes her a pleasure.
Christina Perez is not only a lovely woman and wonderful Stylist, she did a little magic on my hair. From dark ash brown sprinkled with gray and a terrible previous cut. Christina went on to create a beautiful, soft highlight and a flattering cut that fit my face structure and personality. I highly recommend Christina Perez. I’d like to add that. She also is an intelligent and interesting conversationalist and paid attention to our appointment throughout.

Oh my, Ryan is the very best! Had been doing my hair for the past 16 years. Never been disappointed. He has taken my hair from highlights to full color and back again. His humor and love of his clients is so refreshing. Listens and delivers! Proud to have him as my hair therapist. 😍

RUN!!!!!!!! My hair was destroyed after receiving “treatment” from an employee at this salon named kuan and management has made no attempt in reconciliation for the damage that she did to my hair nor the disrespect I received from her.
(I made this post after my appointment with Kuan but somehow ? Google put it under review, so I am reposting it.)
I went in for a touch up on my Japanese straight perm I got in Japan, and her treatment absolutely fried the top of my hair.
I can only assume the product was left in too long with her multiple breaks she took while the solution sat in my hair!! (idk what she did outside but every time she left me it was for a long time and she came back smelling bad like smoke) she even left me once for what seemed to be about 25 minutes and got food then brought to to the back to eat it I guess since she was there for maybe another 10 more minutes. Of course I am not a professional and don’t claim to be so I didn’t know what she was doing was frying my hair minute by minute.
I realized how bad it was when I got home and got a good look in the mirror. When I asked her for help because after what she did, my hair looked and felt like straw at the top, she called me a liar and said that my hair felt and looked like that when I came in. Yes I had breakage at the bottom (but it didn’t feel dry) but that can be cut, the damage she did to my hair is at the top, the entire crown of my head and front sides of my hair. (Even if my hair was too damaged for this treatment, isn’t part of what a professional does is assess the hair and decide what is good and what’s not for the hair? I made the mistake of trusting that she would make the judgments of a professional) Then she even tried to scare me into giving her money saying she had to use product on my hair (which she put in without asking and it didn’t even help. And she said the damage was from my first perm but that’s a lie as you can see from my profile picture, it was taken 2 months after my straight perm in Japan (as you can see I was still in Asia, visiting Busan Korea before coming back to the states)
I am so depressed. I’ve been crying for days, there’s nothing I can do to hide the hair. (3 months later and still every single time I see my hair and feel it, it hurts my heart, literally hurts my chest) Also my scalp is hurting and tender from her not only chemically burning my hair, but also my scalp. I want my money back. I have had to spend so much already on products to try and correct what she did to me.

Reply back to “Sofie Sophie” .Sofie, you have made many last mins haircut appts cancellations every 6 months every yr for 3 yrs since 2019!!!. I should not still take you wt all.Here are things you should know1)Getting haircut, of course hair is everywhere apparently for ASIAN CUT and especially from 3 yrs.2) Kuan has called you a few times to go to shampoo bowl but you kept looking yourself in the mirror. The lady told you not to order you.3) Turn the chair around was easier to check the cut n to reach the blow dryer. It is very very very common in the salons but it turned into complaints from you??? ? I definitely hand you a portable mirror if you ask me . This is part of a real good custom services . Lol4) Kuan said “ did anyone tell you not to talk to your stylist when you are getting your bangs trim? “ NOT AS YOU SAID“ do not talk to your stylist .” You kept talking , hair in you mouth and also distracting me . A good haircut is my priority.5) Kuan doesn't accept card since 2020. Zelle and apple pay is very common nowadays. She has told you accept card that time after she knew you only had credit card for the payment. But you said “ you can call your sister pay from zelle.6) A real j*** actually acts nice in front n talk bad behind the person like you did the review was unreasonable .You need to listen and hear clearly , do not give ppl bad review by your misunderstanding , no experience, knowing nothing, and not follow your way. The bad review about Kuan was not true , unreasonable n unacceptable . none of those were related you got a good haircut ! and with your big deal 28% tips. Oh! noooooo... ??

Best Japanese Hair Straightening Treatment I have ever gotten. And fairly priced. Kuan is a true professional, she made sure to accommodate to my hair as I came in with very frizzy, thick, and damaged colored hair. She made everything aware to me and clarified the steps of the process. Since it is a long process, she made sure I was comfortable and also gave me drinks and snacks!! I absolutely loved how it turned out, my hair is so silky and healthy, I will definitely be coming back.
