Last weekend on Sunday I had a really bad experience with a employee, I asked her to apply my discount and she started complaining, then I asked for a price and she started saying things to me like don’t comeback here if you are going to bother, She asked me where Am I from and talk bad about that (thank god I recorded her) started throwing the items and told her no todo that , Her answer was, This is not yours and either mine , 🤷♀️ . No good experience at all.
Besides her the other employees are great.

Today is July 20, 2024. I have been driving to this store for years. But today, I walked in and it's a completely different store. Looks amazing, organized, I can easily find every thing. I was so impressed that I had to ask "is there a new owner". I was told no, but there is a new manager. I had to ask for him so that I could commend him on a job well done. Angel J, GREAT JOB. Great, great job!

Used to be better, but now they close whenever with no warning. Literally here at 835pm on a Friday and they have the doors locked but not the security gates closed or lights off. Usually friendly people but not worth the sketchiness and inconsistency and inconvenience of never knowing if they’re open or not. Find another Dollar General to go to in Jacksonville, just not this one.

Today, at DG at 5161 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, I witnessed one of your employees, a woman in her 70's, being forced to empty boxes from a pallet that she couldn't even reach. I'm 6'3" and offered to help her get them down. She wouldn't accept my help because she said it would get her fired. She couldn't even pick them up once she got them down. Really DG? Is this what you've become? Reading the complaints, I suspect that abusing your employees, seniors or not, is nothing new for you. I suggested that she gets an attorney. I wouldn't want my mother or grandmother treated this way, so you won't be getting any more of my business, or my mother's #BoycottDG

This particular store is a hot mess.It's always unstocked with the seasonal items, and the entire store is filthy. It stinks of sewage & the staff is nose blind saying they don't smell anything, yet say there's a leak & is being repaired.Clerks state: short staffed & haven't been able to unpack boxes in the back. The forever excuse. One run the register and the other get the store in order. Staff also blame the customers on the stores disfunctionOn
