This is a new ish store, but they lack the staff to keep it stocked. The people who do work here have good, positive attitudes and unite under the long hair black leader. ( sorry, didn't see a name badge). All cashiers seem friendly and you can tell the manager (or asst mngr not sure) is used to her regulars and greets them by name.I did wait a while in line, seemed like maybe it was break or shift change @ 530pm, but it was not long and certainly not like a Walmart wait. This is a good store with lots of potential and good staff. Probably just need another 2 or 3 bodies to keep shelves stocked and keeping products available for turnover.

The store (Phillips Hwy) was empty of merchandise, not even the best seller 6 pk bottled water. However, the cashier was really nice, gently went to ck if there was what I was looking for, and explained the situation and they were going to receive the truck with supplies tomorrow. He was so gentle, friendly and helpful that for sure I will be there again. I don't know his name but was a white young man, cashier on Wednesday July 19 in the afternoon before 5. Great customer service from him.

The manager on duty there on December 12, 2022 , needs to be FIRED! She refused to allow me to exchange non food items for food items. Going on to say that's their store policy, which I know it's true might I add I did have a receipt for items I no longer need. Then to top it off she ask me to leave the store then proceeds to call the police saying I was violent and causing a scene all because I ask her to show me the policy in writing, which she couldn't. She told the cashier , I won't disclose her name because she was just doing as she was told, to put the items I was trying to return to the side, and put the ones I wanted in a bag to the side saying she could not ring me up and I holding up the line. All while the manager on duty is telling me to leave the store while on the phone with the police falsifying information to them. And to add insult to injury another one of the workers there was next in line behind me and I quote " I need to move out the way so that he can pay for his items because he's been there since 8:00 AM. I told him I didn't care what time he been there for. The manager know walks over to the register turns the debit card machine around and told him to inset his card so that he could pay. I pulled my camera out to record her, just to have proof if the police did arrive before I left. The video I have of her and her bad behavior is truly shocking and I know Dollar Tree Corporate office wouldn't be pleased with her either. I wish I could upload the video to this review. Dollar Tree, needs to do better and mindful on who they hire to represent their store.

I came here 12 minutes before close to pick up an item, and the staff would not even come to the door. I knocked and this staff member turned her back on me. If they close earlier than 10:00pm, then post that in advance so people will know. Rude!

Manager was a complete j**** I drove all over Jacksonville trying to find enough matching butterflies for hospital comfort carts. None of the stores had them so I tried to exchange all of the random ones at this location for picture frames to use instead. The manager REFUSED to make the exchange because I didn’t purchase them at her store. She told me to go back to all of the original stores… mind you, I had been to at least 6… And this was during the hurricane. Do yourself a favor and go to a different location.

I sped walked to the location at 3745 Philips Highway because my oldest daughter needed feminine hygiene products. She had run out, and this was the closest store for me to walk to from my home. I approached the store at 9:50pm. As I approached, I witnessed as, who I assume to be the manager, rushing a customer out the door and locking the door behind her. I was taken aback to see such haste since this location closes at 10pm, which left the store with at least 10 minutes before closing. Even so, I tried to open the door. There was a nice young lady standing behind the register. I mouthed to her that I only needed one item, and that I was even willing to give her the money and stand outside and wait. She asked the "manager" who ignored her. The young lady looked back at me and apologetically mouthed that the "manager" had to open the door. The "manager" came up-front, making sure to avoid eye contact with me, ignoring the young cashier, and proceeded to pull the cash drawer. Now, now I have managed stores, as well as worked at a Dollar Tree before, and I have never known for a store to close 10minutes prior to posted closing time, ESPECIALLY in such a rude, and disrespectful way. I understand everyone is stressed during these times, BUT as a manager it is THEIR JOB to stay calm and respectful, mainly by acknowledging the customer!!! So, my question is, is it art of Dollar Tree protocol to close its doors 10 minutes early besides in extraneous situations?

If I could choose 0 star's believe me I would. I was asked to leave my backpack up front or leave the store. I understand you all deal with a lot of theft but I am not one and I'm not about to leave my backpack up front unprotected because the people in the store don't watch your belongings and I have my tools and and PPE for work in my bag. Leaving it at the front of the store will allow anyone to steal my stuff. I mean really think about it a woman with a purse can steal a lot easier than someone with a backpack a purse is easier access. I will never be a customer at dollar tree again.

I went to the Dollar Tree located on Phillips Highway in Jacksonville, Florida. The store manager Mr. Denson was very helpful and went out of his way to help me find what I was looking for in the store. In addition, I noticed the way he dealt with other customers. He was very polite and professional. Excellent Customer Service!!!!
