I had an amazing first vet experience with Dr.Stevenson and vet tech Jammy were so patient with my questions. They explained everything thoroughly and put me (and my bird) at ease! The entire staff loved on my boy and made us feel welcome. Very reasonable prices for exotic care, and so nice that they have toys/perches/food in-house! Will definitely be back for future care, beak/nail trims, and even toys!

Our Cockatiel was very ill and Dr. Colbert and the Staff was wonderful and very Caring and compassionate. We had to make a tough decision and they helped us through it. Our Cockatiel named Pearl Bird is now in Heaven at the Rainbow Bridge and we are so thankful to have found this Dr. and Hospital. Thank you again Dr. Colbert and Staff.

I can’t say enough about the staff at Exotic Bird Hospital. From front desk to technician to doctor, my guinea pig has, again and again, received top notch care and treatment. I would (and do) recommend them to everyone i know with small and exotic pets.

Great customer service and staff. The only problem is my macaw " Gabe" has all the girls wrapped around his beak and is spoiled rotten when he has his boardings. He actually gets excited when we walk in and he sees his " girlfriends".

We were referred here by Dr. Fyfe when our chinchilla Gizmo needed specialized care. Dr. Borger and Dr. Smith have been amazing. They have helped Gizmo, and while there is no cure for malo, for now, Gizmo is doing well. Thank you for your care and compassion.

We regret trusting our beloved pet chinchilla's care to this hospital. She was overmedicated in this hospital, put on six different meds at once and in a day became nonresponsive. Still, the hospital wanted to continue treating her for another week, and the bill would be over a thousand dollars then, after that offered to euthanise her.Specific complaints would be that they gave general antibiotics without testing for a specific infection. The medicine combination that they did give clearly made her worse off. They did not know or try to put her in a more comfortable position where her breathing might be better - elevate her head. Finally, they did not effectively communicate or maybe even realize that she got worse shortly after treatment was administered. She passed away a week ago and left us heartbroken. We decided not to have any kind of exotic pets anymore, although we have extensive experience caring for them. But since this is the only hospital for such pets in the Jax area, we don't want to risk it again.

Dr. Smith is a fantastic and knowledgeable veterinarian for our rabbits; she goes out of her way to ensure they get the best care. The vet techs here are kind and experienced, the support staff are helpful and empathetic. I highly recommend Exotic Bird Hospital for rabbit owners in NEFl.

The staff are great! Not many places can take sugar gliders, so I'm glad we found a good vet for them! Their prices are fair, and everyone there has been incredibly kind.

They really and truly care about animals. They literally put their lives on the line to save my parrot who was boarding when the building caught on fire. The vets are kind and knowledgeable, and boarding services are exceptional! I am very grateful for them as they are real partners in the care of my macaw.

I would get them negative stars if I could!!! We made an appointment with Elizabeth to come in on Monday August 7th at 3:30 PM. I had my partner with me while she was on speaker discussing the time because the appointment time depended on how he could work with it around work. 3:30 was perfect because he would have been able to get off early and make it. Well when we got there at 3:15, 15 minutes early, they informed us that the appointment was at 1:30 that day. I pulled up the notes and everything showing that it was at 3:30, and they marked it in their system wrong. Well they refused to see us and made us reschedule even though they knew it was an emergency appointment and our Chameleon had a possible respiratory infection. Elizabeth knew this because she stated “oooo yeah he definitely needs to be seen” when we made the appointment. The office was completely empty and they would not see us and made us reschedule for the Wednesday. Well, he didn’t even make it through the night and we found him dead the next morning. When the hospital called to ask how we were doing, we stated not well because our chameleon passed away, and they showed little to no sympathy and told us they would just take us off the schedule. Not even a tiny bit of remorse or anything as they could have easily saved his life and didn’t. I am extremely disappointed in them, heartbroken at my loss, and advise everyone to STAY AWAY as they have no empathy towards dying animals.
