Ordered a book for when a class I am taking started. The "book" was ordered in time for the class to start to the tune of $225. I got a shipping update the next day. Great. Until the shipping status stayed at "Label printed" for the better part of two weeks. When the "book" finally arrived it was just an access code printed on what looks like used paper that they could have just emailed to me. Unable to call and talk to anyone either. I hope I can find my future purchases elsewhere.

I first went to the Deerwood bookstore to get the code for my senior exit exam. The code was invalid, used in 2021. I went to South bookstore to get another one. It was also used in 2021. I returned yet again and was told all of their codes were bad. I was supposed to get a call to see if they got new codes but they never called. When I made the call, they said they would refund me and send a confirmation email. I never got an email, so I doubt they actually refunded me. Overall bad experience. And as a note, it’s significantly cheaper to buy the code direct from Peregrine than through the bookstore.

I am currently enrolled in a continued education course for Ceramics 101 with Professor Michael Cottrell and learning and loving it. As a student I have access to the studio during business hours (as long as it doesn't interfere with another active class) and the course is very open study. You ask- he shows you or does a presentation about it. Today I threw my largest pieces to date, I was pretty excited about that! With decades of experience, a very laid back demeanor and plenty of work space- the course and studio is great. Today was my first time taking advantage of going in outside of class time- I easily checked in at the Admin office and they walked me over to the classroom to unlock it for me. I need to take advantage of this more and I am seriously thinking about enrolling in additional classes. I laugh that the studio is messier than my taste- but with so many students (they have had the highest enrollment in Ceramics to date I believe), things don't always get cleaned up properly. I may have spent a little time cleaning this morning before I started my pottery work. I am so excited that we will be learning Raku firing method too!!! I hope to learn how to make a lidded pot and really get better at my forms. Cost for the course does not include clay, they have limited supplies of reclaimed clay, and you are encouraged to bring your own tools if you have them.

I earned my AA from FSCJ in the spring of 2020 and will receive my BA in Communications and Media from FSCJ after the Spring 2023 semester. All my in-person classes have been at South Campus, and I have had a fantastic experience. All my professors have been great, and the facilities are excellent.

I recently bought a book and realized a week later that it was not needed for the class. When going in to return it the gentleman at the front desk was very rude and states that returns cannot be completed without a receipt and would not offer a credit. This was not told to me when completing the transaction to buy the book nor was it offered to be put under my phone number. How was I meant to know to keep my paper copy receipt if no one told me when buying it.

People are always nice and friendly. Super busy during this pandemic and there's usually a line so be sure you've got at least 30-60 min .
