Pulling into this GATE was like hitting a checkpoint in an open-world game where everything actually works. First impression? Immaculate store, fully stocked, and smelling fresh — none of that “mystery mop water” vibe some gas stations carry. Shelves were loaded, coolers were cold, and every food option you could want on the road was waiting: sandwiches, snacks, hot food, coffee that doesn’t taste like burnt rubber, and more.
But here’s the kicker — the staff. These folks were beyond friendly. Not the fake “have a nice day” you get at some places, but the kind of genuine smiles and good vibes that make you want to grab an extra Gatorade just to say thanks. They keep the place humming, the bathrooms spotless, and the customers rolling out happier than they came in.

Tyler always gives fantastic customer service and cares about his Gate family. Hes a joy to work with and a joy when I come on my day off. He deserves a raise! He truly cares about the food Gate serves and the people who come and go, including management and coworkers! 🖤

I keep falling in the trap of getting food at this GATE because I forget how nasty it is. The nachos tasted like throw-up and the breakfast sandwiches tasted like pocket change. The manager, Mark, got upset when I asked for a refund because of how nasty it was said “it was the second time” I had done this and told me not to come back because I keep trying to get free stuff. Why would I want FREE NASTY FOOD?! Homeless people wouldn’t eat at this GATE. I said thank you for warning me about how nasty your food is here. He said it was a “private” GATE. I guess he meant privately owned. He operates in public and should really be concerned about all the dirty nasty food he serves here.

honestly a really great place to get a quick snack for the road, and the employees are really nice but why is there bugs on the donuts? I know it’s probably not that big of a deal but still. I never really see anyone talking about and I feel like the employees know 😭

Mark was a life saver! I was just at the gas station down the street and the air pump was broken. In trying to mess with it.....my PSI ended up being 8...I was already running behind to work and dropping my kid off at school. When i went inside the manager rudly said well what do you want me to do about it...I slowly drove to the Gate and mark came out side ans filled the tire himself was friendly empathetic and understanding! It's nice to know that good people and gentlemen's dogs isn't a lot!

Went in today to grab something to drink the cashier name Tae was on his phone thru his earbuds having a whole conversation not engaging with his customers. Very rude and definitely should not be a cashier, his customers service was below average and watching interact with elderly customers was heartbreaking.

This post is a employee appreciation;I use to go in this gate everyday it use to be clean neat and all workers was nice now I only see one face I know and the store is always cleaner when he's there Tae is a good employee please give him his flowers ?!

This is for the store on San Juan Avenue Jacksonville Florida. To start with my wife and I have bought gas and other items there since this store opened. All my gas haa been purchased there since the grand opening. The additude of your cashiers is appauling. After this mornings purchase after being treated rudely by your employees over and over I shall no longer buy one ounce of gas or frequent any Gate gas stations.
I was purchasing cigeteetes for my wife. 305 Silver 100s. I asked for Silver. I know that instead of regular or light they use a color code now. As the bar code was up I did not see that the packages were blue. As I bought three packs. Once I noticed they were blue after the sale I said I needed the Silver. Of which the responce was I had asked for blue. No it was silver.
Now regardless of if I had asked for blue or not it should have been simple enough to just swap them out as they are the same price. I was met with a blank stare and no response to my request. True what should have been done which was not was the previous sale should have been voided and a new purchase assigned to the register. This was not done. So your inventory will be short three packs of 305 silver 100s.
But he refused to do anything about it. Finally another cashier just handed me the three packs of silver and took the blue and put back on the shelf. My questiom is this. Why? Why was this being handled in this manner. I know why I am an older white man and your staff is now all black. Where is the diversity for this store? I know hate when I see it in a mans eyes. This was about 11:30 am 04/15/2024 or so I wasnt given a receipt. And didnt feel as if I was ready to argue about getting one.
I voted for Mayor John Peyton. I beleived in Gate as a company. But that race card flips all kinds of ways. I have looked at the other complaints and it seems ratchet behavior is becoming the norm for that location. This is a diverse neighborhood. I would ask you seek to have that represented in your stores. And the complaints of begging are warrented. As I have seen customers harrased going in and out.
Regardless of your respinse to this complaint I have forgave this type of behavior time and time again. I will not buy anything from any Gate anywhere again. So since from inception of this store you had us as customers but no more you have lost us. If you think that the behavior will be tolerated by your customers. Continue to proceed as you have.

There's a chick that works afternoons or nights idk if her shift just started or it's close to ending when I stop in at night but I was appaled the other night to see that she lost her mind on someone who was asking for help. But proceeded to lie to the cops saying he was trying to steal and what not. And got him trespassed. And again today with some one else. I'm short on time and have to get home soon. But I really hope in the future I get the opportunity to defend those who have been attacked by her. It's a shame how nasty some people can get
