I reserved a pickup truck from this location. When I arrived, they had no truck. As I needed a vehicle to move office equipment, I asked what do you have..."nothing, except a van which has not been cleaned". Okay, not great but what choice did I have. And here is the - "How stupid can Hertz be". When I called to see if I might get a discount as it was not the vehicle I requested, it was filthy, and I am a preferred member. I was told, "you did not get any points for this rental, and we cannot do anything for you. Yeah - pretty stupid. As the choices are many - Enterprise now gets my company business (@ 4 to 5 rentals a month for I and my staff). Or $2,000 a month in expenditures. If I ran my business this way - I would be out of business in a month.

Best hertz in Florida. Had to drive over 200 miles cause Orlando airport, Hilton Hotel, Marriott hotel, and Sanford all denied me a rental due to a debit card. Staff was family oriented and very pleasant to deal with. Even the trainee’s first day didn’t cause a ripple in my day and made it even better sending me off in a new Mustang. Thank you for your help today.

The Hertz Philips Highway office was a dumpster fire. The manager left as we came in to pick up the car. This left one employee and a trainee to serve six or so queued customers. Excepting one return, no customer was served in sequence. Part of one case was addressed then another. A great deal of time was spent with the employee working with the trainee's computer getting out of a screen inadvertently accessed. When it finally came time to sign and go, we were given a Chevrolet Volt (last car) instead of the Nissan Rogue of similar we reserved. It was at 63% charge and were told there was a charge station at a nearby mall. We elected to charge the machine the next day when we were in Jacksonville Beach.Two charging stations were shown in the area. One seemed to be in the gated parking lot of a condominium lot, and one in a Whole Foods lot. We plugged into that one and the expected charge time was three hours. We searched for a higher wattage station and found it in a hotel lot in Town Center. It was out of order and estimated to reman so for at least an hour. We went home and called Expedia through whom we booked the car. They responded we were wrongfully given the electric car.We returned the car the second day. No refund for unused days was given at the time and we were told that a refund of our unused days and $200.00 deposit would be credited in 5 to 7 business days.Life is too short to do business with these people,

I was in desperate need of a vehicle at the last minute and called different Hertz locations in Jacksonville. When I called this location, May Lancaster went above and beyond the call of duty. She was able to find me a vehicle, took the time out to inform me of my options, and had the vehicle ready when I arrived 60 minutes later. (All with a pleasant & understanding demeanor).Upon entering the location I encountered Shakiya who was also pleasant and friendly. She greeted me with a smile and checked me out expeditiously.May & Shakiya BOTH provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service at the last minute. Top Notch service from these two ladies at this location. Thanks Hertz on Phillips Highway. I will be back!

There is an employee at this location that went above and beyond to help me out, her name is May. She was so helpful and really tried helping me when I was in a pinch. Unfortunately the manager, district manager and regional manager are the type of people who automatically think the worst of customers and May was not allowed to help me. I will NEVER rent from Hertz ever again, and I am a member of their loyalty program. They made me feel and basically said I was trying to commit fraud by trying to rent a car from someone else. They refused to rent to me even though I said I would pay for everything up front. As a member I am offended and angry to be treated this way in a time of need. I am going to make a complaint to Hertz corporate office about this locations manager as well as the district and regional managers. That is the problem with corporate America, there is no human element in the decision making. May understood and tried her best to help but was shot down by these individuals. I highly recommend getting your rental cars elsewhere.

I needed a car on short notice while my car was being repaired. The manager Shakiya greeted me as soon as I walked in and the rental process was very quick. She was very courteous and professional. She came through for me with a nice vehicle(even got a free upgrade!)? Superior customer service and great selection of cars! I would definitely recommend this location. Thanks Shakiya for the positive experience! 5 ? ? ? ? ?!!

Had a reservation set up for 5 days. They called me an HOUR before my pick up to tell me they dont have my vehicle and that there would be a 3 or 4 hour delay. Was told the GM would reimburse me and get back with me but an hour went by without hearing from him, plus it was after my original pickup time, so i just canceled and rented from another company.

They are so slow in here!!!I asked how long it would take after waiting 15 minutes or if somebody else could come to the front to help me after another customer told me they'd been there over an hour. The French guy got mad at me and told me not to be rude... I have to get my kids!!This was supposed to be set up already with coggin. They assured me it was.Don't tell me I'm rude because you have subpar customer service.

Long processing time, and car was smelly with dirty windshield . I later found that they intentionally refused to give me a car rented via Expedia to get an excessive day charges for booking directly from them.

Friendliness and nice vehicle 5 stars but waiting 35 minutes from entry to exit because rental wasn’t ready way too long especially for a non-airport location so 2-star deduction

They have no problem taking the reservation but they do have a problem holding the reservation.When we got there 2 hours later they said they had to rent the carOut so the next one available was a bigger one anf they wanted $304.00 to put on a credit card.No thanks
