Would give zero stars if I could. Just left there a bit ago around 1:30pm looking for new jewelry for my tragus and rook and the kid by the register with short red hair barely acknowledged me. Looked right at them and said hello, they looked right at me and said jack. The other kid by the counter in a grey sweater literally had their head down sleeping. I was the only customer in the store. I was looking for the jewelry because there used to be a large selection and turned around and noticed a small supply next to…sleeping kid. I gave it a glance and walked out in less than 2 minutes. Elder emo disappointment lol…workers used to always at least greet you…these kids couldn’t be bothered. Just a reminder as to why I stick to shopping online haha. Get it together little alt kids.

Only place I know that carry MCR shirts and hoodies besides having to order online. Took daughter here for some much needed makeover. Her, not me :) Although I admit there is something for everyone in all age groups! Staff is always very friendly.

One of my favorite places to shop. The sizes are a bit small for me but I know that and just order larger. I'm a geek at heart and love pop culture items. Wish they'd bring back the cute flat disney sneakers.

I went to the avenues last Saturday and browsed a couple of stores with my best friend, just looking at items and getting ideas for gifts for the holiday season, and Hot Topic was one of the stores we decided to browse for gift ideas; and to say the least the customer service my friend and I ( and I am certain other guests in the store felt similar too) experienced was anything but quality, welcoming or professional.Obviously it is understood if the store is super busy and the employees are unable to get to the customer right away- How ever, if there's one thing I learned working retail and customer care for nearly 15+ years - if you do not acknowledge the customer within 10-15 seconds , you created an environment where the customer feels unseen and you could lose out on sales as well.Additionally , I would like to say that each employee working in Hot Topic that day , did not greet a single customer that walked in while my friend and I were browsing in the store. The employees would rather talk to their coworkers and share images on their phones , have their back facing away from the customer at the register and cash wrap , bump in to people with lack of manors or an urgency to assist or help others , and blatantly text on their phone as if someone higher up in the company will not catch them , or like me, firsthand with the employee working Saturday at the entrance "greeting"(on the phone texting) decided to do.For this reason , I felt the need to write a review and I hope that management takes a closer look at the lack of quality their employees are providing;I certainly do not believe that employees are paid to be on their phone, and I can't see someone making the cut to stay employed if the employee does not pay their dues either -putting in the hard work, and sometimes , retail can be high pressure. I enjoy Hot Topic , however , I can't bring myself to purchase items when the employees lack the drive to acknowledge customers or exude some professionalism and pride in the work they do.Thank you.

I come to this store all the time to buy collectibles and shirts. I absolutely adore all the workers there and especially the store manager Maria, they are all very sweet and always helpful and wanting to accommodate anything they can! I recommend this store very much so because it's always such a pleasure to shop here.

Clearance items in store were buy 1 get 3 free!! Definitely worth the time to look and see what they had! Got me a few cool shirts and socks.
