This is the best hobby store within 2 hours. Great selection and the staff always take time to answer my questions and don't belittle me for asking simple things.
I went in 2 weeks ago to get some guidance on adding internal lighting to some model kits as I've never done it before. The staff spent 20 minutes to explain how it all works and what I would need. He walked me throughout the store pointing out each part and showing me examples of how others had used them to light their kits.
I think the owner sets the price based on how much it's selling for at online retailers. I used to compare the prices for their kits to how much I could find them on eBay or Amazon and they were usually almost identically priced.
They started carrying Gundam kits within the last year and while they don't have an extreme selection, they do carry some of the newer kits. They stocked the Real-Grade Epyon almost immediately after it was released.

Bought a kite here. Went to fly it and found a line was missing. Went back to the store and was told I will need to purchase the missing part. I gave your store the opportunity to fix an issue and you failed. Fine, but never coming back. Guessing the line is a couple bucks, was it really worth a local customer? EDITED RESPONSE : "flew out of the back of the truck". Your comment is made up to validate a poor review. It’s also very insulting to accuse me of trying to scam you for a few bucks. FYI. Same kite on amazon for $10 cheeper. And they accept returns without insults. Good luck to you.

The only place in town, that I found, who has Gunpla putty!
They've got a great selection of models, no gunpla. If you need RC, aviation, rockets, and 3d puzzles you definitely need to stop here.
They're no longer veteran owned and they no longer give discounts, but best nerd shop.

They helped my young son make two well-informed decisions and he has loved both trucks he has bought. Both times he spent his own money. Knowing that, they made sure he didn't make a mistake or have any regrets with his purchases. Very respectful and encouraging. They have been awesome to us and will continue to have our business for a long time.

This is a real hobby shop if you need parts they can get them if you need parts they actually might have them in the store if you aren't a weirdo with a 25 year old expired hobby but if you are they even have a limited selection of Tamiya m4wd stuff a winning selection in fact. I hate to admit it but after 15 years of not seeing one walking into a real hobby shop literally made me tear up...I don't care that they noticed

Great store, a wide selection of inventory, and very knowledgeable staff. This place is a gem considering it’s the only real hobby store in Jacksonville. I’ll always come here as opposed to buying online.
