I would give more than five stars to this place if I could. A few months back, I lost my beloved pet and was unsure of where to lay him to rest. After contacting several places, I found this pet funeral home and cemetery. Their genuine care and attention became evident from the first call. We scheduled a meeting with the person in charge, who guided us through the entire process. Words fail to express my gratitude for the meticulous care they provided for my baby boy's funeral. Unlike other facilities, they offer both burial and personalized cremation services. The cemetery allows for regular visits, and there's a special section dedicated to police and army dogs. Additionally, they provide a space for scattering both your and your pet's ashes. If you're seeking a place for your beloved, look no further than here.

After losing my best friend, I knew he deserved to be buried rather than cremated. I called many places and it seemed more transactional than anything; some places wouldn't even return a voicemail. After calling and meeting the owner of the establishment, I felt confident in burying my little guy over here. Love, compassion, and care was taken every step of the way. Highly recommended.

We brought our beloved ferret Broomhilda here after she crossed the rainbow bridge. Jimmy was very kind he went above and beyond. He even added an ink paw print for our 4 year old daughter. Thank you for guiding us smoothly through this and the beautiful memorials

I did not use there services but on Monday my dog of 17 pass away. I know it was a holiday (Memorial Day) but I needed to have my dog cremated and it was my first time looking for a service to be done. When I call to ask if they were available. I was meet with a very condescending man on the phone. He kept emphasizing that it was a holiday. I do know that but for someone to run a funeral service and was rude and lack empathy for someone who called with a dog that just pass away.I do not write reviews but I do not like their customer service at all.

I have used this funeral home and cremation service for 15 years or more. I recently lost my last dog (out of 4) and I would not use anyone else for my pets ashes. I know for a fact that I do indeed get MY DOG back! I so appreciate this company for their professional and courteous service!! Thank you!!

I have sadly had to call upon Jacksonville Pet Funeral Home more times than I care to think about over the years. Here at the Retirement Home For Senior Wieners, I provide sanctuary and end of life care for senior dachshunds who have been abandoned by their "loving family" and I have done so for many years. One of the unfortunate realities of this is that the pets in my care are not usually here for a very long time before they have to leave. Sometimes with the help of the good people at my vets office and sometimes they choose to leave while at home. Over the last 10 years, Jimmy has handled the final arrangements for 38 of my beloved seniors and whether it was through my vets office, or my bringing them to his facility, each of them was handled with the dignity and respect that I would expect if they had been a beloved relative. Pets are, after all, family.

It was 2 years ago that our sweet kitten passed away, succumbing to FeVL. This was one of my young daughters first pets and they had a special bond. She named her Arla.Arla was a rescue and she was a timid feral kitten. She would only allow our daughter to hold her and they were inseparable, it was a beautiful bond that was forged between them. Her illness came on suddenly and aggressively, but we spared no expense to try and save her . Her passing was devastating for the whole family, but especially for my young daughter . Teaching a young child about death is never easy. I knew I wanted to memorialize her to help ease the pain of losing such a beloved pet. I knew we wanted individual cremation , a tuft of her beautiful fur , an urn and perhaps a foot print. After searching local pet after life care services , we decided on this one . Their website made them sound warm and caring. They offered pet remains pick up , individual cremation , and even their own digital tracking system. They also had a pet memorial page and their inventory of keepsake options looked very appealing. On the morning I found our sweet kitten no longer with us I called the number and left a voicemail. Shortly after Jim returned my call . Immediately there was an issue with what was advertised as available services on his website , and that was that he would not be able to pick up our cat’s remains . So instead , we scheduled a time to meet him at the business. I had to bring both my young children with me . Jim was very talkative but not warm or compassionate at all. It was all business talk and he monopolized the conversation bragging about how great his business was as opposed to his competitors. It seemed odd to me but what mattered most was the individualized cremation and the tracking system he offered . I wanted peace of mind that I would only get the remains of our Arla back . He told me her remains and the keepsake items we purchased would be ready within a couple of weeks . Two weeks passed and no word from Jim. Not wanting to rush him, I allowed more time to pass before calling Jim for an update. He returned my call and said he had been sick and assured me her remains were safe “still in the plastic tub you gave her to me in” , as if I wanted to picture our beloved pet in a freezer in a plastic tub that whole time. He promised to process her remains and have them ready no later than a couple of days . Well a couple of more weeks went by and I had not heard from Jim. I called and left him a voicemail. I never received a return call. I finally sent an email, no response . That was when I started to panic as my gut told me something wrong must’ve happened and Jim was too scared to call me and give me the bad news . I took my issue to the local news , who did run a story . And I also hired an attorney to compel Jim to hand over my pet’s remains . Long story short , here we are 2 years later and we still do not have our pet’s remains and Jim has been holding her hostage unless I sign a confidentiality agreement so that no one knows how unethically he runs his business. His actions are deplorable and now we have to file a lawsuit in court. A LAWSUIT just to get our pet’s remains delivered to us. Oh and Jim likes to scrub his google accounts to have all the bad reviews removed . Two years ago he had many bad reviews , thank goodness I took screenshots of them since they have since disappeared . See you in court Jim.

Jimmy took care of our cat a while back and did such a wonderful job. Several government agencies trust him with their service and working animals. Jimmy follows through on his word and has the integrity to trust you loved fur babies with.

Unprofessional and rude. They prey on your grief.Let me start with the 4 reasons you should NEVER use his business. 1)- right after our dog died Jim called to complain that it took too long and that he didn't want his staff to wait past 8 pm on a Sunday. We get that but when our dog died isn't up to us. Jim was EATING and talking on the phone as we mourned. 2)The next day we met Jim to discuss arrangements. He launched into a lengthy speech about how their pet track will let you know where the remains are at all times and it'll take a week or so. 3) we got a call from Jim on Monday saying our dog was ready to be picked up. We had no idea that it was all done. We- my husband and I VERY clearly stated am arrival between 830-9 am. 4) I arrived a little before 9 and Jim was genuine confused as to why I was early . he claimed my husband said 930-10. I have the text to prove that was not the case. Jim did not offer an apology. He then asked if we were dropping off a pet. It took him a minute to find the last braincell to find my dogs remains. When I asked about the pet tracker he quickly stated that he didnt have to provide one that it was only thru the vet that he had to give one. Then why in the hell did you slender 20 minutes talking about it after we told you we were the ones bringing him in.Honestly this was by far the worst experience the level of unprofessionalism blew my mind. I guess any waste of breath can operate a business in this town. I never felt he cared. Obviously this business hardened him and he takes advantage of your grief. There isn't ant diety or enough Hail Mary's to save his twisted soul.
