THE WORST LIBRARY in Jacksonville Florida. If you don't believe me, visit all floors and spend at least 30minutes in the grand reading roomk (computer floor) 4th floor BUM INFESTED, LOTS OF PEOPLE COUGHING AND SNEEZING EVERYWHERE and the BATHROOMS are EXTREMELY FILTHY. PLZ CHOOSE ANY OTHER Library!!

Disappointed with the limited hours, it makes no sense for the biggest library in the city to close at 6 and not even open on Sundays

This is a library, art museum, conference center, courtyard, theater! Jacksonville did a great job with this library, you don't even feel like you're downtown, until you leave. There's a teen room, a children's theater, a courtyard that people have weddings in, etc. It's much more than a library. And they have free events there often.

Security is unprofessional and rude. By far the most unpleasant library in Jacksonville.

Really enjoyed the opportunity to visit this local branch. Met with some local cartoonists and took a tour of the library.

I attended the Holocaust exhibit on 9/22 with my girlfriend and daughter. We loved it. The docent, Juice, was amazing. We learned so much. So glad this library was selected to host this exhibit. We did not get a chance to spend much time in the library, but the building is so beautiful.

Love coming here and walk around looking for books or just looking. They had a chat in their conference hall with Joe Hill about his books and writing career free of charge. Is definitely worth bringing the kids. Mine love it!

Gorgeous building with a massive collection of books, art, and resources. Unfortunately, I think the air conditioning is the most used resource here. Homeless people take up many of the spaces, and while they have a right to public spaces as much as anyone, it does complicate things. As a woman, I would not have felt safe alone, especially in some of the further corners. There were security guards, but mostly at the doors. Most of the reading tables are occupied by people who aren’t reading.

The staff in Special services was awesome. They have wonderful equipment to digitize slides, pictures, and more. I saw Italy England the Riviera Monte Carlo and Norway today.

Always a fun visit here- from the moment you enter you're blown away by the sophisticated design. The children's library is truly that. You are greeted by sounds of nature as you walk in. There are lots of fun seats and sitting areas to curl up and get lost in a good. Children have access to reading buddies (stuffed animals) and hand puppets to perform in their own theater production ?. There's also a small children/ toddler room that allows for play and exploration with blocks, magnets, puzzles, beaded maze, animals, felt board and animal cutouts, etc.
