Hours posted on the building say "Mon-Sat, 10-6," hours posted online say "Mon-Sat, 10-4:30;" I just went by there (at 3:25) and the doors were locked, without a soul in sight. I even knocked on the door and waited a few minutes . . . still nobody. I also tried calling, and it rang through to a voicemail. What's the point of posting hours anywhere, if none of them are accurate.

Went inside here today for the first time and to say the least it’s not going to be my last visit! James was super knowledgeable and sincere! You can tell how much the people here truly care about all of this and how passionate they are about it all which is so nice! Definitely recommend stopping in asap! This felt like a historic museum you have to pay to get into but instead it’s free and I’m just amazed by how big and crazy cool this place is!!

One of the best museums ive ever been to! Such an incredible amount of history all packed into a beautiful building. James was our tour guide and was incredibly kind and thorough. This place is beyond unique and well worth multiple visits and is completely free to walk through!

Absolutely incredible place, a hidden gem if there ever was one. The guy who showed us around could not have been friendlier and more patient, you could tell he had a passion for the art and loved telling the stories behind it. Where else in Jax can you see a rug that belonged to the Shah of Iran, light fixtures from the Empire State Building, and original artwork from Duer, Van Gogh, Botticelli, Rembrandt, John Singer Sargent, and Michaelangelo. Feels like a different world and I can’t believe that I didn’t know about it sooner! So so impressive and a MUST see!

Magnificent original art that you can actually buy. Family owned business who makes you feel like family. Touring this place is an amazing experience. You know that you are among greatness. The family will happily educate you on anything you want to know. They are sincere and highly knowledgeable. Best experience I've ever had at a museum and as a buyer. Beyond pleased need more than 5 stars! Definitely the start of a lifelong relationship.

Took rugs that were given to me by my mother in law to Michael to see if they were even worth anything. Michael took the time to inspect and describe each rug and give me a fair and honest assessment. Great customer service!!

I am so in love with my beautiful new rug, but more in love with the wonderful family that owns this amazing place. It is incredible how knowledgeable Alex Mussalem is about every single piece in the entire place. The passion he has for each rug, artifact and painting is amazing.

I was excited to visit the Mussallem Galleries after reading the glowing reviews online. I brought my fiancé here to take a tour and possibly make a purchase. Some things looked expensive in the pictures, but the website insisted that with prices starting at $50 there was a piece for everyone. So, we made the 2 hour drive to check this place out. When we walked in, we were greeted with judgmental stares from the three men behind the counter. Sure, we’re young so we don’t look like we have money to spend, but the website made it seem like all were welcome. One of the men offered to “show us around” and proceeded to rush us around the lobby, skipping the details about the art and antiques and only emphasizing the price to make it clear that he believed we couldn’t afford it. He then handed us a brochure insisting that we should “try the virtual tour” and then promptly escorted us to the door.We were kicked out for not looking wealthy enough. This is not what was advertised on the website and it feels like we lived the shopping scene from “Pretty Woman.”

I met Charlie and the team a few weeks ago. I brought in my grandmother’s rug, for which there was a lot of familial lore. Initially, I brought the rug in for cleaning and maybe a little insight into what was in my hands. Charlie was a wealth of knowledge and incredibly friendly. I immediately felt like this was a friend I had all my life, and we were just having a conversation. He was very complimentary, while also giving me pertinent information about my rug. The familial l
