The mechanic at this store should be tought some customer service skills. From the moment we arrived, he had an attitude. Ultimately it was a quick fix, but he had such a crappy attitude towards us..like we were such an inconvenience. NOT the way a true professional should behave towards a customer that purchased an $11,000 product that was not working. Though he may be a good mechanic, he obviously has NO business in talking directly to customers. He repaired our power washer only after showing his a$$ and throwing a temper-tantrum, when he did not like me telling the store manager of my terrible experience and he walked off. Somebody send him to Customer Service school.

Special gratitude to Christina P. It was an early Sunday morning with heavy rain. I was in to purchase a gas powered blower. Happened to run into this professional but kind lady. Christina answered my questions, located the product, fired up the machine to make sure it works, and even registered the product with manufacturer for me. She demonstrated the highest lever of professionalism and customer service standard that most of us don't see any longer in the retail business. Thank you and keep up the good works.

Use to shop here pretty much every week. Not anymore. We, many members of many churches in Jacksonville, including Catholic, Baptist, etc. stood in the annual life chain Oct. 1, 2023 on Atlantic Blvd. Our spot was on the sidewalk in front of Northern Tools. The manager came out and told us we couldn't park at his store and if we didn't move we would get towed. Wow, for a business that only uses 10% of its parking at any given time! Thank God the auto store next door told we could park there. Good bye Northern Tool, we don't need your wokeness! Can I give a negative star?

Great store but you have to have an understanding of the layout as the staff are unable to direct you in any way.

Called store was put on hold for 15 minutes finally parts department answer I told them what a time I was having a time getting a part for a strong way trailer and asked if they could help me .The gentleman said if you can’t get it from them I can’t do anything for you. I thanked him and said I would never buy anything from them again. He did not have any customer service skills..

Recently took a Simpson Pressure Washer to Northern Tools on Atlantic Blvd in Jacksonville for service. Water had gotten into the Engine and Carburator. Service changed the oil and plug, dumped the gas and blew out the carburator. Told me it was running perfect. Well, it does not run perfectly. Misses and bogs down at idle, and when you pull the trigger for high pressure water it significantly bogs down, but does come back up to normal idle and pressure. When I spoke with the technician he argued with me that it was perfect in the shop. I will check the plug gap and will use the unit for a good length of time myself to see if I can run out any residual water that may be in the carb. Not happy with this repair.

A few weeks ago my husband purchased a Machine that we eventually had to return because it was just not working to match the needs of our mobile detailing business. The whole experience from purchase to return was top notch customer service. Both manager and the very knowledgeable, patient and helpful cashier hit it out of the park . Thank you again . ( I lost the paper the name of the cashier was on )

Had a damaged EGo electric lawnmower, took to Northern Tools, paid for diagnostics. The technician called and informed of the problem, gathered information, and determined it wasn’t registered for warranty repair. Long story short, he gave cost of parts (order)/repair and when it would be ready. The anomaly is it was fixed on the date and cost quote originally given. That is exceptional in this day and was overwhelmed by a business that is run so efficiently. I jokingly said my experience was so great that I felt like breaking an item to have that type of experience again. Exceptional service provided, yes please!!!

I am vary rarely disappointed when I make a trip to NT. Today was another good trip. Store had what I needed and gave me some ideas for future tasks. There was a issue with pricing on a couple items and the customer service handled it quick. Thanks for the help.

Had a Ryobi power washer that wouldn’t stay running. The 2 employees at check out were nice, explaining about the back up they were experiencing. They called the manager for me who explained that they don’t work on Ryobi anymore due to difficulty getting parts. I then spoke to a sales expert who directed me to an upgrade power washer with a Briggs & Stratton engine.All 4 people I encountered were so nice and helpful. I commend Northern Tools on their ability to hire employees who know how to treat customers.

Northern tool helped me out in a desperate situation. I have a custom made boat trailer, and all of the axels and bearings are non standard. Northern tool had all of the individual components I needed to rebuild the hubs, at a very reasonable price.. they were very patient with me returning items that weren't correct as I pieced it all together.

I have made many trips to the store, I wish it was closer to my part of town as I live on the West-side of Jacksonville, FL. The store has so much merchandise that is hard to see all that it has.
