Horrible experience. I arrived for my scheduled MRI at the Belfort Rd location last week and discovered their machine was broken. I was rescheduled for a MRI to be done this morning at 8 am. The receptionist opened 10 min late, (no apology), and told me curtly the machine was broken since last week so I MUST not have an appointment. She finally admitted I DID have an appointment. Again, no apology, after I made this 60 min round trip two times, in traffic and pain. It is outrageous I wasn’t told in advance of the cancellation, not once but twice! This receptionist, at the very least, needs some serious customer service training. I won’t be back for a third try.

Cancel my appointment twice without doing anything but leave a message when I am waiting on a cancer screen for MRI. Would not discuss anything with me would not return. My calls were very unhelpful. Still still have not received a test and one and a half months have to go to another provider. This includes the middleand Belfort locations I am very disappointed

I called to get my images and report no answer I left a message no one called so I had to drive two hours because I moved to chiefland two hours to get what I needed to get another mammogram set up

I was sent here for an ultrasound & while the tech herself (Rayna) was lovely and efficient, the entire front desk staff is the complete opposite. I arrived 15 minutes early and gave them my id & insurance card to be scanned . 30 MINUTES later (mind you she still had my documents) she calls me back up to sign consent forms & asks for my documents back after handing them to me because they were not even scanned yet!!!!!! Why hold onto it for 30 minutes if not to scan them? And doctor came to get my forms & call me but I was standing there waiting for my cards and for the front desk to finish giving me each individual form to sign. The entire time, the whole waiting room could hear them talking and laughing. Be professional, do better

Worst imaging facility I’ve ever been to.
Nothing works properly, their website doesn’t work so you can’t see the test results (which anyway takes forever), no one ever answers the phone - extremely unprofessional and unpleasant service for people in need.
Never ever go there if you care about yourself., and im talking about
Imaging Center located inside
St Vincent Hospital
on Belfort Rd. in Jacksonville.
Anywhere else will be better.

Total waste of time, don't bother getting your imaging done at this place! Arrived at my appointment time, One hour later I still wasn't called for my imaging and then found out the imaging tech was backed up and I would have to wait another 30 minutes or more. I left and told my doctor to send me somewhere else.

Someone needs to answer the damn phone. Someone needs to return phone calls in a timely manner. The recording is asinine and insulting to our intelligence. When you go to the website, you see that no appointments available for anything. Again, asinine. You are playing with people's lives, for Christ's sake...

We were having trouble getting appointments. Miscommunication on our part. We called Optimal Imaging and were able to speak with a tech (my husband had taken a medication and no one was sure if it was okay for the test he needed). He spoke with Russ who was able to get him in that day for his MRI with Travis and the next day for his PET with him. He went above and beyond making sure we understood everything and got him scheduled right away. We truly appreciate everything he did as my husband couldn’t meet with his oncologist until they were done.Thank you so much Russ & Travis!

Ross went above and beyond to help my mom get her PET scan today. He was able to stay late and work her into his schedule. I couldn't thank him enough for his assistance.

Beware of Optimal Imaging. ..... I am well-versed in insurance protocols, including the procedure for obtaining additional (and expensive) care such as MRIs. I understand prior authorizations, co-insurance, and contractual rates. However, even with this extensive knowledge, I cannot make sense of Optimal's billing practices. I have never worked with a staff so unprepared for the task of doing their job. Management has FAILED this company. For example, a staff member let me know that she found it unimportant to know the total cost of the test because I wouldn't be required to make full payment day of--and that I could pay it in installments. That's hardly the issue; I'm entitled to know the total cost. I am especially interested in the cost as the person paying the bill. But I am likewise interested in the cost given the continued issues regarding reporting incorrect costs (first, it was $0.00 -- and now it is $750.00) and a profound inability to navigate the prior authorization requirement. By way of another example, a staff member let me know that I must be "hiding" another insurance policy because of "co-insurance stuff." Obviously, this staff member has not been trained on insurance as co-insurance does not denote additional insurance, but a required payment after one's deductible is met. These are just two examples of many--in addition to the fact that the MRI machine is "down" as of today--a fact of which I was informed only one-half hour before the time I was requested to arrive for my appt. This facility is woefully unprepared to conduct business and I caution anyone who presents to Optimal for any type of diagnostic imaging as I am CERTAIN they are not up to the task.
