Hi my name is Lisa and I've had my 15 yo Yorkie "Lolo." since birth my Lolo is like family. We live in Jacksonville, Florida; she has been my companion and Emotional Support dog for 15 years and she's all I have, no family out here.Lolo loves the outdoors, sometimes just siting looking at her beautiful surroundings is enough for her. She especially loves music, Luv, Luvs eating and going for rides; she wants to go every where I go but there were limits and couldn't at times. Then she stop enjoying all these things she use to do in a very short time,Lolo was recently diagnosed with Kidney Disease 1st stage and just found out she has a heart murmur it went from at grade 2 to grade 4 out of 6 in 3 months Pablo River Vets failed to inform me of this heart murmur and only focused on one illness the kidney Disease (which Dr. Gennette carelessly gave me a recipe for Lolo that incleded hot sauce) they didn't think it was important enough for me to know about the heart murmur. This experience of negligence was my worse night mare carried out by Pablo River Vets; Dr. Gennette was too busy to care...it was about constant upcharging me for a Dr. that can never return my phone calls...I paid $253 for a Sr. Blood panel...to get shorted; she didn't explain the rest of the blood work panel breakdowns.Upon getting this diagnosis of the heart murmur from another Vet, i called PR back to get her medication changed; another Dr. took my dog off her medication for a day which turned into 3 days...i kept calling and got no call back, i got the receptionist...i told her the Dr. Gennette never called me back to change her medication which at the consult Dr. Gennette stated Lolo had several options of meds if current did not agree with her. (I have it in her email) the receptionist said; She probably wont give you anything else.(Sounds like discussions were had regard my dog) but why was the receptionist telling me this???My phone calls went unanswered, only by email, no face to face or phone calls regarding the urgency of my panicI took Lolo to the park for our doggy date she hadn't been out for a while; she was so glad to be outside she started running, sniffing, finding her happy place. She wanted to walk the whole park, When we came home I noticed her breathing pattern had changed and had gotten more aggressive, It was really scary. When I made an appointment for Lolo to another Vet within 3 months He informed me Lolo's heart murmur shot up to a grade 4 out of 6. I have been so upset.I was pretty much devastated.Everytime my dog starts her heavy abnormal aggressive breathing the pit in my stomach sinks. She jumps up in the middle of the night trying to adjust her breathing; with anxiety... its overwhelming and frightening, she just grabs my arm, lays, twist and turns until she adjust in my arms or on my chest. This is the worst feeling ever.In order to get the care Lolo needs to stabilize she needs:Radiology 3 views Echocardiogram and Consult Physical exam by the Cardiologist Radiology of Thorax up to 3 viewsDigital imagesMedicationI want my money back from PR.This would not have happened if I knew how to handle the heart murmur, what and what not to do??? BY these so called professioal people. Or was it because I am a Sr. Woman of color on a limited budget that made the mistake of going to a clinic that was all about draining you pocket and practicing on your dog....this shows they clearly didnt care to get personal enough to make you feel comfortable and at least go over a breakdown you paid over $200 for and give you all the information you need to know about in keeping your pet in a heathy state...instead keep you coming back with absorbant prices pretending you"re in good hands. My dog is now struggling to stay alive...

Always a great experience at this vet. Short wait times, vet techs are knowledgeable and helpful, and Dr. Gennette is great. Would always recommend Pablo River Vet.

Professional, very friendly and helpful! 5 out of 5 stars.I was very nervous because I had a trip planned with my 75 lbs GoldenDoodle to Colombia and a form (endorsed by the USDA) was required to enter the country. They have never done any forms for Colombia before but took their time to research and make sure all the paperwork was correct. I arrived in Colombia and all the paperwork was perfect and had ZERO issues to enter the country with my dog. I really recommend them if you need any paperwork to travel with your dog.THANK YOU!!

First time ever visiting this establishment, normally the wife takes the pups in. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Everyone was very hands on, making my anxious pup feel at ease. Thanks team #Biggie

I have been so happy with the care my puppy has received at Pablo River Vet and cannot recommend them enough. The staff is super loving with her and very attentive; we receive high-quality, personalized service every time we visit. Also, I highly recommend their dog groomers, Bob and Deb. They are professionals at what they do and it shows. Bob and Deb take their time with the dogs and are so caring with them. Bob even took time to show me how to properly groom my dog at home- I am so grateful for his expertise. You know your dog is in great hands at Pablo River Vet and with Bob & Deb for grooming.

Very friendly staff, prices same as most vets east side of the river and they took care of my pet and seemed genuinely concerned about their health

Dr. B is the best and you can truly see that he loves animals. Dr. Gilbert is nothing but short, and did not deliver what was promised. There is a lack of communication on what the expectation is from the owner and when asked about why an important information was not communicated to the owner, the staff becomes short. This left me, as the owner frustrated. No apologies, however, they expect you to abide by their scheduling rules, which was not communicated clearly. The exam room has this strong pee odor.

I had brought my dogs here for several years and had a good experience, but the last year things went really down hill. Some of the front desk staff was extremely rude, very short on the phone. It wasn’t a one time experience, but became more often than not. The final straw was when it took weeks and repeated calls and e-mails to get a response from Dr. Gilbert when I voiced concerns about my dog’s condition (which he had been seen several times for). After that complete lack of care or concern, I vowed never to bring my babies here again.

I came to this clinic because of good reviews. The doctor and his nurse were good but waiting time! We had an appointment at 10.50am and saw the doctor at 11.35 am, which is 45 minutes! I moved from another state and never had to wait for so long. Then some wait time in between and my appointment is finished at 12.30pm. Quite a long time. :(

Love this group. Although my precious little girl has been to the vet, this is my first time using Bob and Debbie for grooming. Can't give them enough thanks for doing a fabulous job on my little girl. One of the best grooms ever. Very friendly, intimate with not a lot of other dogs. Definitely will continue using. Very reasonable. So glad I went there. They know what they are doing. Bob has been doing this for 46 years

I highly recommend Pablo River Vet. Dr. Boyarin and his staff have been the best veterinary clinic I’ve ever been to. They are all so compassionate and caring. Dr. Boyarin goes out of his way to explain everything, gives you articles to read, and discusses all your options. Every time I go, I feel like my dog is the most important one there. As an entrepreneur and business person myself, I am always impressed with how they handle the office, their timeliness, and professionalism. From the receptionist to the Vet techs, they are all amazing. Best decision I ever made for my dog. I hope he never retires!

I thought the cost for the visit was very fair for the quality of service that I received. The staff was all very friendly and handle my cat with love and care. After looking over my cat the vet identified another issue (not what we brought our cat in for originally) and decided to get another vet who specialized in that area to give a more thorough 2nd opinion. I thought that service was above and beyond! It was a little difficult to get an appointment due to them being very busy so I would recommend scheduling an appointment a week or 2 out and not expect to get in at the last second. I can safely say if found a vet that I'm comfortable taking my cats to.
