They were recently taken over by Cinnamon’s Quilt Shoppe. I bought a vintage Bernina at a thrift shop and took it to them to be checked out. I realized that it might or might not work out, but was willing to take that risk. The repair tech is only there on Tuesdays and was highly recommended by a friend. First I was told that it needed a new capacitor, and I ok’d that. Then I was told it needed a new hand wheel and they couldn’t find a factory part. But if I bought the part myself, they would put it on but not guarantee it. I ordered something online and made a special trip to the shop to drop it off. This all took several weeks. A week after I dropped off the parts, I got a call saying that the problem was with the gears not the handwheel. He could fix the handwheel. I realize they just took over and different people are there different days, but I can’t excuse such abysmal communication. I picked up the parts today in hope of getting some of my money back and asked to look at a Bernette while I was there. The machine was threaded but there was no bobbin loaded and they really didn’t seem to know the machine very well. I want to support local businesses, but only if they offer decent service. I am never going back.

As I walked into the store, I was not greeted. A couple came in and were greeted immediately and was told that they are no longer called, Paula's Fine Fabrics, but are now called,"Cinnamons". After spending 20 minutes in the store, I decided that I didn't meet their expectations and as I left, one of the people who worked there yelled out,"Goodbye!" The prices are a bit high, but if you are looking for something different than your average fabric store than maybe this store is for you. I give it 1 star and that's for the couple who came in and had a better experience than I.

I saw the sign (are you singing?) and decided to explore. One of my artsy bucket list things to try is quilting and I figured a small, local shop might offer classes and guess what?!?! Of course they do! I perused their shop, loving all the quilts, aprons, kids dresses, cloth baskets and bags that were displaying their patterns and kits. Checked out some of their fun fabric prints and bought a couple pieces of lace for not sewing purposes. I chatted up one of the ladies- maybe the owner? She loved my cat shirt and earrings and we were sharing our kitty photos with each other. I will be checking out the classes and hope for some fun Halloween sewing projects! Because I would be ALL ABOUT that! They asked how often I sew- seriously, for costumes mainly. But I can learn, and I used to sew with my mom as a kid. Looks like a fun shop to play!

I love shopping at Paula's Fine Fabrics. The fabric is high quality, they have a nice selection of fabric, panels for holiday crafting, quilting, all the extras for sewing/serging and machine maintenance is offered, too! Can't beat actually feeling the fabric and supporting a local business, too.

Paula was very nice. Everyone we met in the store was wonderful. We had an older machine to trade in. We did it during the event. She held a machine for us since we live further away. Her service tech recommended her. Glad we made her acquaintance. We really wish her store was closer! But we have a dealer in her in Jacksonville!

My favorite fabric shop in Jacksonville! Staff is polite and knowledgeable. Great collection of fabrics! The shop has a rewards program, so I plan to visit over and over. They also sell and service machines.

Great service on a purchase of a new Baby Lock sewing machine. I appreciate that they took the time to show her how to use the machine. They were able to answer all of her questions, and made her feel excited and confident about her new purchase. My daughter took a great multiple day course over the summer here and was bit by the sewing bug. They were able to guide us in a machine for her to use and grow with as her skill continues to grow. Looking forward to lots of creative days ahead.

Good selection of fabrics but zero customer service. I took my machine in for service and asked in advance what I needed to bring. Was given a detailed list which didn’t include one of the accessories . When I was told this function was not serviced the woman I spoke with told me it was my fault and I should have known they wouldn’t have one on hand for testing. I’m wondering how I am expected to know what they carry in their shop especially after I asked for and was given a list of things to bring. When I commented on this again at pickup the same woman just giggled. Seriously, she giggled! I don’t need condescending rudeness when there are other places to buy nice fabric and have my machines serviced.
