Came in to buy a hamster as a gift for an 8 year olds birthday. Got a hamster cage and all of the needed stuff when I asked to get a hamster. I was told I needed a 20 gallon aquarium or larger cage. And refused to sell me a hamster, because the hamster cage I got was too small … for the hamster. It was the one you can build on so planned to get the starter kit and come back for the add ons. My family has also been refused a beta fish because they had to run the tank first and then come back to get the water tested. I’ve had pets my whole life and a beta fish that lived 7 years in an actual bowl as a kid into my teen years. And had the same cage for a hamster and he did fine definitely won’t be back.

We were denied buying a fish after getting our water tested. My daughter wanted a beta fish, the ones that are in 1 cup of water. The water test showed between the lowest and next lowest mark on the ammonia scale. The self proclaimed "not the fish expert" said "it is just a little high". She gave advice on what to do and we had the supplies already to get it to the most ideal environment for the fish. We were going to go ahead and buy the fish and put it in the tank after following instructions. We went to the counter to check out and we were told they are denying us the fish. I am sure anyone that walked in to buy a fish with out getting any advise would walk out with a fish, but this employee must have been having a momentary laps of reality, that she can tell people what to do.We have been cycling the water with advice from other experts from this store for the last 3 weeks, to get it to the correct chemistry balance for the fish.

I always have a fantastic experience at Petco Grooming (Marsh Landing) with my pup, Jolene. The team consistently addresses any grooming needs I may have for Jolene. The team also gives much love and care to Jolene, and they aim to make her comfortable if she shows any signs of anxiety. They are great at communicating and always go the extra-mile.

Kerman Village location on Atlantic blvd. I informed the cashier the ferrets were desperately scratching and going crazy for water. Alexandra comes by and said they do that. She only gives them water in the morning because they make a mess. I told her I have never heard of that. She responded in a nasty attitude and tone like she wanted to fight. She said like what, like what? I called corporate immediately. I have cats that make a mess with water so does that mean I don't give but a few licks of water in the morning? Very unprofessional Alexandra! Do your job and provide water to the animals before they get sick. Called marsh landing to see if anyone cared.to.speak to the other store,but I was kept on hold.

This store is great! Everyone is friendly and they have everything and live animals. I even enjoy taking my kids here. Staff all have animals and are super knowledgeable.

Absolutely horrible customer service by Alyssa. Called corporate on her hoping that she absolutely loses her job and action takes place on her. Rude and refused services to a paying loyal customer. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect and judgement. Let alone her saying she’s the manager. Who does this

The WORST experience ever!!!I’ve never left bad reviews for anybody.Each time I gave Petco another chance, but this is too much! The service they provide is terrible. The staff is very impolite and unprofessional, constant calls and no solutions to problems. I had a membership. I did vaccinations for my puppy in Vetco, grooming. But every time it was with problems. Every time you schedule an apoitment online, they call 5 hours before it and say either reschedule the apoitment or cancel because they are AFRAID that they won't have enough time for my dog’s appointment. (??????) Why do you actually let me schedule one then? Plus she said i’m new cx and it’s gonna be my first time and we have to check all puppy’s vaccination. Those vaccines that I did in Vetco ??♀️When I said I wanted to cancel my membership, the woman on the phone was saying about all the benefits for me for like 10pm, that I would save $100 a year if I stayed with them. When I said that I definitely don’t want to work with them ever again, she said that she could cancel my subscription only after 9 months, she needs to start the process. (??????) Now I will pay 9 months more for it.I will never return to this company again! And I will never recommend them to anyone. It's better to pay more than deal with this business!!
