Because they rip you off. They put off picking up their unit and charge you for it when it was no longer being used.

I am torn on recommending pods. Parts of the moving process was good and others stressful. Getting the pods at my original destination and filling them was flawless. Delivery was the problem. I did a California to Florida move. 3 large pods. Had delivery spaced out so I would not have all 3 delivered at once. 2 of the pods were not delivered on promised original date with threw everything off. Communication is frustrating because you are only given the main hub number and not your local delivery location. Communication between the main hub and each location was not great. Once delivered the items inside although secured like we were told, were a jumbled mess. We realized one pod must have been in an accident because a huge hole was patched on the side but was splintered inside. Perhaps a shorter distance move Pods are ok. If I could do it all over, I'd use a long distance moving truck company.

Delivered only 1 of the 2 PODs ordered. No apology, no solution. Left to scramble and find a moving solution myself 2 days prior to move over a holiday weekend.Had both PODS been delivered the experience would have been completely different and would have been 5/5 stars.

If I could give a negative star review..I WOULD!!There has been no shortage of problems with this company, and, quite frankly, I would shut them down if I could. After nearly a year, my family was finally able to move into our new home. I called to schedule the delivery BEFORE there was another payment due, and they had a lock on my account from over a month before!! They charged me an additional month two days later. It took nearly a month for my family to have the money again to not only pay the drop off, but, that month as well. ONE day later? AFTER the delivery was set for the FOLLOWING Friday (“their FIRST available date”). I get charged yet ANOTHER months rent?!When we first signed the contract? Drop off fee? $161.58 IN THE CONTRACT!! The first time I called to have it dropped? $120+. A month later, after paying my bill with them? $212+?!!I would publicly dissolve this company if I had the ability to do so. Their customer service SUCKS. No supervisors? EVER?! Worst ran company I’ve ever encountered.

Just wanted to put in a good word for the PODS storage process: First of all thanks to Benjamin and Jamille for a seamless drop off and pick up. Very professional and friendly. The process has gone very smoothly so far and it is greatly appreciated as I go into my move from one state to another. THANK YOU

They delivered pod to wrong address on Sat morning. I called driver, he said he would come back and move it to my address. He never showed up. It’s in someone else’s driveway, blocking their garage and she’s having to park on the road. Their business closes at 4 pm on Sat and their closed on Sunday. So couldn’t get ahold of nobody until Monday. I called them at 8:15 am, they still can’t get a hold of Jax office. I had people here to unload it on Saturday Now they are back at work and I have nobody to unload it. Everyone I talked too had the same answer. We can’t get ahold of jacksonville office.The lady that they delivered it to actually drove to the facility in Jacksonville and said there was only 1 person working there and he felt blindsided. He did say it would be moved to my house today. But now I have no one to unload it. I guess I’ll have to try and find someone and they can reimburse me for them also. Worst Customer Service ever.

For about 2 weeks straight now, and daily, PODS has been attempting to debit my card for an extremely amount never discussed. It was never mentioned there would be a charge to re-deliver the POD container to my residence, yet they attempt to charge my card on a daily basis. When I attempted to contact them, I was steered towards their online virtual reps and they are useless. PODS needs to get it together.

I ordered the largest size PODS unit and filled it up. I had to order a second unit and the website made it so easy to set up.

PODS failed me with a very flawed plan. Phone operators didn't know what they were talking about and cost this Covid widow much money because of their errors.

If I could give them six stars, I would. I had the worst moving experience with international vanlines and their contractor American Knights moving coming from Pittsburgh to Jacksonville. On the Jacksonville side, I decided to put all of my stuff in pods, working with the folks there on Mallory Road was fantastic. They made it so easy! there were things that needed to be done and they just took care of it, they honestly were so flexible and so kind to me on a very stressful day that I just can't recommend them highly enough. It is a great service! they are incredibly accommodating and again the service that I received from Chris Starr and his team was top notch.

PODS, primarily, stands out with convenience. Using PODS, you get to take your time and reduce the stress level of moving. However, be aware of costs involved. There's a cost for everything when dealing with any moving service and PODS is no exception. I would recommend finding your own helpers and/or automobile transportation. These services offered by PODS has an enhanced price tag associated with them.

I was issued a citation for having the POD in my driveway for more than 30 days. You should let people know it is against the property code to have one in your driveway for more than 30 days instead of accepting their money every month until the city gives them a citation.

Christopher Starr, the location manager went above and beyond to help us. We were scheduled to move our entire house furnishings into two PODS located at the Jacksonville storage facility. Hurricane Ian was heading towards Florida and the entire state was under warnings. Chris reached out to me to make sure we were still coming because he had to secure the facility and his staff. He kept the facility open to accommodate our movers, gave me his cell phone number in case we needed anything and came out to the PODS to make sure we had everything we needed. He's personable, professional and is committed to a high level of customer service. He even went above and beyond 2 days later and had my PODs taken back out of storage for me to load some last minute items. I wasn't sure which POD, so without hesitation, he made both accessible. Chris and his team's commitment to their customers allowed us to stay on schedule with our move. I am very grateful and highly recommend you choose PODS for your moving and storage.

Finally got our POD on the 3rd try (19 days late) - 1st time shipper canceled after 7 days, 2nd time PODS sent wrong container. Customer service reps gave us false promises that we'd receive our POD the next day (it would be another 2 weeks). The one bright spot was the local warehouse manager, Brian. He was honest, timely and a joy to work with.
