I will not be returning to this Publix Pharmacy after the way I was treated. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years, but the experience I had after my surgery was completely unacceptable.
I had cervical spine surgery yesterday and made it known to the pharmacist ahead of time that prescriptions would likely be coming in related to my recovery. Despite this, I was treated as if I were doing something wrong or suspicious when I was simply following my doctor’s instructions and trying to manage post-op pain.
Today, I was in severe pain and had to go to the ER. The ER doctor prescribed Percocet. My neurologist had already prescribed hydrocodone the day before, which is a common practice when managing pain after surgery. The pharmacist refused to fill the Percocet prescription unless I gave back the hydrocodone — essentially telling me to trade one prescription for six tablets of another. That makes zero medical sense and left me with inadequate pain management while recovering from major spine surgery.
To make matters worse, the pharmacist was rude, dismissive, and made me feel like a criminal or drug seeker. I am not. I am a surgical patient trying to recover. There was no compassion, no willingness to consider the context, and no professionalism in how I was spoken to.
I understand that pharmacists must follow regulations. But there is a right way to speak to people, especially those in pain and following medical orders. This was not it.
I will be transferring all prescriptions elsewhere and advising others to avoid this location.

Publix has never had a policy of appointments for Flu shots.
Sunday, the pharmacist told me I HAD to have an appointment to get a flu shot. More like she was too busy to stop and get me set up for a flu shot. Very disappointed with this pharmacy location AGAIN.
Seems the employees at this location are just lazy. Deli staff refuse to check for a sale item, I circle back 10 minutes later, what do you know, employee stocking said sale item. Sadly I feel some locations are really going downhill.

My husband was transferred to Baptist Medical Center South. Our home is Valdosta, Georgia. I was able to go to this location to get my medication transferred to this location in a timely manner. The medication was ready the same day. Thank you for filling my prescription promptly.

LOVE this pharmacy and I’m still heartbroken that my insurance now requires me to go to CVS. The pharmacists and techs are all so nice here! I’m a big ol’ baby but Mimoza gave me my first Shingles vaccine this morning. She was very sweet.

I've been using the Publix Pharmacy off Old St. Augustine Rd/295 for years now. All of the staff are friendly, easy to talk to and willing to answer any questions you may have. The Publix is clean and located near many other stores and gas stations. Very convenient.

I have gone to the pharmacy here for 3-4 years. They are quick to fill, even when there’s a line. I’ve had to transfer my prescriptions due to new insurance or I would still be coming here. They are so wonderful here, and I miss seeing them every month.

Just because you did not have back surgery in "town" st aug, go to a well renowned back doctor out of Lake Mary to protect your future. This pharmacy will not fill out those prescriptions per the pharmacist manager Majnole. I perhaps don't see an issue with in town doctors but giving the situation or any other person in the future going out of town for serious medical problems do not get yourself in a situation with this location. So much for my closest location being convenient.

The deli department is incredible with amazing staff, service and delicious food! They’re one of the main reasons why I shop at Publix’s. Please share and commend them on their wonderful work. I’ll check in on my next visit. Thank you Ms. N for the beautiful salad ?

about once a week we came and get wings. Seems like everytime just like tonight when we ask about wings not on the shelves already we always get over an hour to make. If I come during the day it only seems to take 20 minutes. if you don't want to make wings at 7pm just say so.

Such a wonderful experience! Penny Jo and the other friendly, professional members of this team provided me with outstanding customer service that made me a devoted forever customer after they located a prescription 5 other pharmacies could not get for me. They anticipate my monthly medication needs and make sure to have all my meds on hand every month! I drive out of my way every month to continue using them, but it is worth it!
