Awesome fully enclosed playground with a bunch of slides and a splash pad water feature for bigger kids. Public restrooms and water fountains are available on site. Parking is non existent. Overall a great addition to downtown.

I’ve never seen such a beautifully landscaped park. I so happy for our city and this addition. Giant slides and a splash pad that your child can get wet and choose whether or. It to get wet. There are food trucks often nearby and restrooms. The whole park has one entrance and exit which helps it feel safer for the kiddos.

Wide open view of the St.Johns River at the base of the Main St. bridge brings to a centerpiece of a Jacksonville tradition with a massive Christmas tree decorated beautifully and brightly lit with a holiday theme feng shui that makes for a perfect photo opportunity for even the largest group. They even put a cool playground for children that has a real jungle gym vibe.

This isn't a plaza. A plaza is paved with brick, stone or other durable material. This is just an empty lot.
More than anything else, it's a pathetic memorial to the utter failure of the Jacksonville city government to control crime and homelessness around the former Jacksonville Landing - a landmark retail development which transformed and revitalized the riverfront when it opened in 1987. Instead of taking the necessary measures to provide adequate police oversight, the city choose to DEMOLISH a perfectly viable commercial building in the heart of the city.
What a disgrace!

Looks nice. Parking sucks. Welcome to jacksonville. See pics i posted. Why is the parking lot under a bridge blocked? Why is the $5 vystar parking garage closed???????

Amazing! The first phase is absolutely amazing. Looking forward to seeing what else they develop with this plan. The part that they have completed is so fun and interactive.

What an incredible gathering place for our community! The lawn is big enough for event viewing (lots of exciting programming to come!) but not too large that you feel lost in it. The waterfront views can’t be beat, especially of our iconic Main Street Bridge.
The park and playground officially opened Dec. 2025 and WOW what an asset to this community.
The playground has areas for both big and little kids, with an awesome splash pad and several slides! There’s only one entrance and exit (not including emergency exits) so parents can feel comfortable letting kids run loose. Bathrooms are spacious and clean, there’s a water fountain, and the City is in conversation with a café operator for quick bites.
While the Landing was part of Jacksonville’s identity for several decades, a new age has arrived for Jacksonville’s riverfront. Seeing Riverfront Plaza for yourself will demonstrate the exciting future of our riverfront and the asset it’s finally becoming for our community.
