The absolute worst store I’ve ever worked with. Go anywhere else to buy your appliances.
After spending about $40K on appliances, with lies about availability, delivery times, delay after delay, measurement errors, causing us to remove and reinstall part of a newly installed floor and then improper installation of our gas stove, requiring GE to send a technician 4 times to fix Setzer’s lousy work, Michael Setzer refuses to answer any of our calls. I called him 7 days in a row asking for a call about our $15K stove and he never called back. One call the receptionist, said he just walked in and that she would transfer me. He did not pick up. She was clearly embarrassed by his behavior. Apologizing for his lack of service but said “he’s the boss, so what can she do?” Quality and leadership start at the top and he is the worst. He and our salesmen, Ken, should be avoided at all costs. What we were told would take a few weeks to complete took over 4 months. Run from this store.
As a follow-up to my review above…Michael Setzer saw the review and responded saying he would call me by noon the following day. I genuinely hoped I’d get some service and resolution to my many issues. He finally called me late afternoon. He confirmed I had tried to reach him 6-7 times but instead of taking responsibility for not returning my calls, he blamed his office phone system. I explained his receptionist told me multiple times she had given him my messages personally. Therefore his excuse was laughable. He said he had no idea we had so many problems (which means his salesman lied to us about telling him we were dissatisfied). I guess everyone who works at Setzer’s is afraid to speak to Michael about customer service issues and concerns. Must be a great working environment. Michael told me he’d get to the bottom of my issues and call me back. He said he would refund me for costs incurred due to their negligence and poor workmanship. It’s been over a week, no call back, no update, no resolution.
I strongly recommend you avoid Setzer’s. Take a look at how many negative 1 star reviews. As one reviewer put it, he wishes he could give them less than 1 star. I concur. These reviews are proof they are terrible and terrible from top down. They accept no accountability and have dreadful customer service and ownership.
I intend to speak with Better Business Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce and the state of Florida about their business practices. I will also tell everyone in our community about our experience and reasons why they should avoid this business.

Blake took great care of us. He was very attentive to our questions about the new ASKO Dishwashers and helped us with all our in store data analysis that helped us feel much more comfortable with our investment. Friendly and easy to work with.

Don’t shop here. Should have given more attention to the 3.6 stars and negative reviews prior. If something goes wrong with your order, like happened with my Washer/Dryer tower, it’s an unprofessional and blame pointing poor attitude that you will get. It’s as if they could care less about your business or trying to make things right. We found another local distributor to help us with what we needed.

A poor experience with Debbie. I paid $25,000 for two Viking appliances only for one to be defective. After reading other reviews, I realized that their store has a reputation for this. Very uncoordinated and frustrating, yet expensive. They don’t stand behind their product or offer assistance. Don’t recommend.

We bought a washer, dryer, and special order refrigerator from Setzers. The salesperson was very knowledgeable about the appliances and gave us a great deal. Our delivery was just a few days ago, and the delivery people were both professional and friendly. Great experience all the way around.

We worked with the sales person Blake Pinder who was knowledgeable regarding all brands of the appliances we wanted. Blake compared prices and warranties and never tried to push us in any direction. He did not rush us and researched and printed specific information for us to review. He checked stock availability and gave us delivery dates from which to choose and was very quick to call us after we sent emails with follow up questions. Blake provided white glove service throughout the experience. Special thanks also goes to Mr. Setzer, Laura in Services and Eli and his delivery partner who all provided additional assistance.

I was ready to pull the trigger and order a Bosch dishwasher from Lowe’s, until a friend told me about these guys. I made the call but really had no expectations because I s as ready had a good price. Well, was I wrong. They beat the price by a lot! And an extended warranty (I know, I usually never buy, but wanted to protect this investment) was super cheap compared to anywhere else. Took a while to get here, but that was ok. When it was delivered, it was installed perfectly. I’d recommend these guys, or at least give them a call.

They act like you’re working for them. Totally disorganized. Call and you frequently get busy signal. Really? Then when it rings you get general delivery mailbox. How the heck do I confirm service arrival time if nobody answers? Finally get a lady who tries to tell me he’s not coming today, then says it’s handled by an outside company, then after being on hold for 15 minutes she says there’s no ticket for it but her guy is coming today. What a circus…

I was working today, so I asked my husband, to stop in Setzer’s early this morning to look to see what they had in a reasonably priced line of cooktops, ranges, and hoods. I asked him to look over the high end models also. The salesman, Greg, did not want to talk to my husband about anything priced lower than $11,000. He wanted to talk to him about $16k wolff and Viking appliances. Just to let you know Greg, we could afford it. I Was planning to come back this evening and look at everything that you had but my husband wanted to get information on the other appliances that you sold, such as Thor and zline just to have an understanding and for comparison purposes. Greg shut him down pretty quickly and told him the “lower end“ appliances were junk and that he’d better buy stock in a repair company if he even thought about buying those. Greg proceeded to tell him they were no good, the manufacturers were horrible, and gave him a lecture like he’d never bought anything high end in his life. Greg said all kinds of bad things about those companies and their products. Greg was very demeaning and let my husband know that there were other products he could buy that would last longer. But Greg never provided any real comparisons, and my husband found it disconcerting that he was so willing to talk poorly of Appliance brands that Setzer’s does sell. So my husband left the store feeling pretty degraded and called me on the way home, and then talked to me about it again when he got home and I don’t think we’re going to ever be looking in Setzer’s again. Thanks for your “excellent“ customer service. If that’s what it’s all about I don’t need to buy anything from you. I can get high end appliances elsewhere. I mean the $20k Wolff, Viking, Thermidor, etc. kind. You should treat everybody equally and not just reserve your kindness and “best” customer service for people who immediately walk in with open checkbooks. You never know who you’re talking to.

Would NOT recommend Setzer's as we had a horrible experience. Attempted to purchase an appliance. We knew about it not being in stock, however when it didn't meet the expected arrival date we were never notified. We attempted to call for an update & received NO Call back on many occasions, which included the owner. The women who answered the phones said not to call back for update as they will call you when it comes in. Went to cancel the order and took 5 days to get the order cancelled and me travelling back into the store face to face. BE CAREFUL

We want to give The Setzer’s team a huge thank you! First, Blake for being a top notch salesperson. You were so responsive and straightforward with your communication. Taking the initiative to reach out to management to escalate delivery when our refrigerator expired, is big kudos in our books! Secondly, to management for their caring and compassion in providing a quick delivery when our refrigerator expired. Also, it is nice to call and reach a person, instead of an automated prompt phone system. Lastly, to the delivery guys who performed white glove service. They were diligent, professional and took great care to ensure the installation was completed correctly and were very professional gentleman.
We know this kind of customer service would have never happened if we had purchased from a big box store. You have won a first time customer and a customer for life.

I normally never write a bad review however the follow-up by this company is absolutely horrible. I have called the owner twice without a call back and I simply wanted to make certain their installers are certified electricians. When they connected my oven it blew the power on the entire house and they proceeded to reroute and reconnect the power. I just wanted confirmation that they are qualified to do this type of electrical work. Also the oven was never secured into the space correctly and just wanted to share my concerns.
On a brighter note the installers couldn't have been nicer. Very professional and extremely pleasant.
