The city park department is NOT keeping this historic park clean. Jacksonville needs new blood in upper management in this department.

The Confederate Monument is beautiful. It’s the only thing that makes this park worth visiting. The area does not appear very safe though and appears not family friendly. Hopefully the mayor allows this beautiful history to remain .

Beautiful but needs to be open at the front side as well so my walking group can walk all the way through the park.

This place is beautiful. Nice and peaceful with tons of grass for my furbaby to run and play. It also has a walkway all the way around and I can get in a couple of miles of walking while my dog plays, or just sit on the benches and chitchat with people. The people I've met there are really nice.

Lovely park in need of some TLC. The monument to Confederate women needs some additional historical context, perhaps with an additional placard. The context is that "those noble women who sacrificed their all upon their country's altar" (1915) were doing no such thing. They were (perhaps unwillingly) part of an insurrection against their country in defense of a cruel system of chattel slavery.

This Confederate Park was once one of the most beautiful parks in America and honored local women and other citizens who suffered and defended home, family, and nativeland in America's deadliest war. Now the park is neglected and home to vandals. It's like the city took its most cherished, prized, and treasured property and squandered it.This park is a great example how prior generations were much more respectable and orderly, and kept the city and surrounding parks in much better groomed, beautiful, immaculate condition. While the prior generations built a beautiful city, this generation seems intent on destroying it.To the cities carpetbagger leaders: Bring back the beautiful memorials in both this park and Hemming Park!

Not a bad little spot in Springfield. Had a little of everything.... 2 dog parks, basketballs courts, playground. Haven't seen a plethora of hangers on, no loitering, etc... so it seems safe for your 10-15 yr olds to ride their bikes to.

It's a quiet historic park. The roses are beautiful. The geese and ducks trotter around. Hopefully COJ will spend a little money to do a few repairs soon. But it is still a nice place for a walk. The dog park is just across the street too.

The duck feces made walking by the pond tricky. As first time visitors it was difficult to find the entrance gate to the playground which is definitely not designed for toddlers as the sign says 5-12 year olds. I don't plan to go back anytime soon. But the dog owners seemed pleased with the two different areas to run dogs.

The Small Dog park is a joke! If you a big dog, they have provided an amazing area for your dog to explore and play. If you have a small dog, you might as well put your dog in a locked closet. The small dog park was an after thought. The water source in the small park is highly questionable with the amount of rust on it. I drive to John Gorrie dog park on riverside because at least it has trees and shade for the dogs. I’m really disappointed in the small dog park, it’s the worst small dog park I’ve ever seen. It’s literally just a fenced four corners, they are better off calling it a holding cell.

Wow, I am truly impressed! I was a little nervous about coming over here since I didn’t really know the area. It’s so spacious - talking a football field with a well-kept paved perimeter trail, The grass is so green. Lots of room to romp. Definitely coming back!
