They were pretty good at filling tank. However we no longer need the tank. Called twice to have it picked up. First time told it may take 3 weeks. A month later was told my tank was not a priority and they would try to get on their schedule . Three weeks later no tank pick up. It would probably take
10 minutes to remove tank.. Not very impressive

I’ve been a customer for 8 years as I inherited a gas tank from the previous homeowners from this company or else I would have just gone with another company to start with. I’ve been on auto delivery since 2021 when I put a tankless water heater in, and didn’t have problems with them filling up my tank until last week. They hadn’t been out to fill my tank since January, and suddenly the hot water wouldn’t turn on. Auto delivery means keep the tank full! We called the after hours number, which they asked if we wanted someone to come over that night on an emergency run or if it could wait until first thing the next morning. Being nice, we said we would wait until the next morning and we were advised someone would call and confirm gas delivery first thing that morning. Someone (Tracy) called alright, not to confirm delivery (which she said wasn’t her department) but to inform me I wasn’t on auto delivery ever because I hadn’t done a soft credit check. My account on the app states that I AM on auto delivery for that tank and I’ve personally witnessed the auto delivery fills ups in the past and did not have to call them to make a delivery, so that was certainly a lie that I was not on auto delivery. The after hours number also stated I was on auto delivery, so Tracy was NOT being truthful. Plus, I’ve been a customer for 8 years with no past due balance, what do they need a soft credit check for??!! Tracy told me she would get back to me about the delivery, which she never did. My husband checked at lunch time to see if the tank was filled, it wasn’t, and then called them up as well. He was told they’d call him back, and naturally they didn’t. Then he called again after lunch and got Tracy. She said she’d get back with him, and proceeded to wait until almost 5pm to say they weren’t coming today AS PROMISED and we would have to wait until Monday. We called the after hours number again and were advised that since our gauge was at 10 (our hot water system won’t run at that level) they would have to charge us $250 for an emergency run on top of the gas cost, for their own negligence in customer service!! That is outrageous and they should absolutely be ashamed of theirselves! We are getting quotes from other gas companies as clearly this company does not want any business. Their mission statement says they strive for customer satisfaction, which clearly is not the case given our experience and judging from the Google and Yelp reviews!
7/11/2024 follow-up on this review from earlier in June. I’ve changed my rating to a 4 due to the wonderful manager Paul Lewis who not only took the time to do research on my issue, but acknowledged I was correct and resolved everything for me. He certainly stands by the mission statement and deserves recognition! I appreciate his assistance and will be sure to reach out if needed in the future.

Do not use this company. They have owed us since last year for a full tank when we moved. They came out to read the tank for us and at closing we were told a refund would be sent to us and the new owner’s were charged. Never heard a thing from them. We recently received a bill from them to fill the tank at the old house. I called told them we don’t live there and was told they would send a refund what was due us at the closing. I called again was told check was on the way. They have now credited an account we no longer have. $355.88. My advice is don’t do business with them. I would give them a zero and it is quite obvious they don’t care about the reviews

DO NOT USE SUBURBAN PROPANE IF YOU EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR A TIMELY RESPONSE. I needed a generator added to my gas service. Suburban’s earliest appointment was 1 month out. The night before they were finally supposed to come out, they called and said they had a gas leak that took priority and moved me to the next available appointment, another month out. I cancelled my service and am moving on to another gas company who does not jerk their customers around.

Every time we order they miss the delivery date in Jacksonville. Today…got to take a cold shower before work because they didn’t show up on Friday. It’s Tuesday now. No word from them. Nothing. On top of that this company charge 4 dollars above the price of propane, per gallon. It’s predatory and disgusting. Last time they delivered they told me I had a leak… had them come out to figure it out for a 115+ dollars to have them tell me there is no leak. Looking for a new propane company this morning… one with a shred of integrity.

I have called on week days constantly between their operating hours and have not heard from them. I have a small business and have been trying to get in contact with their company here in Jacksonville and still have not been able to get a hold of them. Every time I am sent to voicemail or just get hung up on.

Beware of the bait and switch tactics used by this company.Salesman Jayce will promise you whatever it takes to get your business.They quoted me a price per gallon and on my initial fill charged me .10 a gallon more than quoted.On my second bill charged me .17 a gallon more.I was also charged a training fee which I was told I would not be charged.Yes they charge you a fee of 8 plus dollars on each delivery for their employee training.After hours on the phone with them I got the bills repriced but there creditably is shot!!!
