Manager and staff are terrible and rude. Manager has called and tried to have our truck towed numerous times when it's not even on their side of the property. This manager thinks he owns the whole shopping center and bullies the truck drivers that just stop for a bit or even stop to grab a bite to eat.
In response to the managers response to my first review. For starters my name is MARNELLE not MARBELLA which you can clearly read. As for our tow, yes it was you that called. We have spoken to the tow company who has given us a heads up about you calling on trucks parking before. He said the manager of Ace Hardware was the one who called on all the occasions. Being as truck drivers deliver the supplies to your store that you sell for a profit you would think you would be appreciative and leave them alone when they need a break. And as for you and your staffing. I've come in on numerous occasions when we needed to find something for our truck or other supplies and we are always met with dirty looks, when we ask for assistance to find something we've been huffed at, eye rolled or ignored and had to be right in front of people and say excuse me in there face to get help. Never a friendly encounter or smile. Then your staff watches us walk to our truck staring at us like we stole something. Honestly it's a terrible experience every time and can't wait for the Home Depot to open across the street. For you to come on here to respond, misspelling my name and lying about trying to tow a trucker is a little pathetic and your show probably take a deeper look at yourself, not only as a manager of poor staff but as a person.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Came in to buy some mulch. As soon as I walked in was rudely asked “is there anything i can help you find?”. The store was closing in five minutes. I didn’t need to look around because i already know what i came to purchase. I went to the cashier and asked for pine bark mulch. Was informed that it comes in two different sizes. I asked to see the sizes and was told we’ve already put them up for the day? Completely rude and unprofessional. Once the mulch was out by my car, one of the associates walked out. I informed him that i needed to move a few items from my truck first. He literally said nothing and just walked back into the store and left the cart full of mulch in the middle of the road. I then began to load my car MYSELF while they sat inside the store and watched me. Once i was finished, the same associate then came outside to pull the cart back into the store. I’m sure that if i was a different race, things would have gone much differently. Never EVER had this experience and surely will NOT BE RETURNING. Btw: There were several other people coming out of the store after me so i wasn’t the last customer. Do not give this place your business!

Ace is the place. I had an odd project i was doing. And I needed the Ace man to grind down a bracket. He did so quickly & expertly. Saving me money by not having to buy a tool that I'd use once. So, I spent that savings while i was there. I explained what I was doing. He came back with a suggestion that I never thought of. Saving me much aggravation and lots of time. Ask Ace they know they're stuff.

JUST GO AHEAD AND GO TO A DIFFERENT STORE. -- Team here is very unorganized !! Doesnt honor what their employees promise.
Had an issue with an item from the store, cashier told me it wouldnt be an issue returning. Management gave me a very hard time dealing with this issue and ended up unresolved !!
Just drive a little further to somewhere else.

The people that work there is very unprofessional and very unfriendly. They charge you for a paint stir stick. The girl said the paint stir stick is $2.00. ridiculous. I went down to Hogan's Ace the paint stir sticks are free and the customer service was so helpful and super friendly. I will always go to Hogan's Ace Hardware over Thompson Ace Hardware. I can't wait for Home Depot to open On San Jose Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32257. Then maybe Thompson Ace Hardware will be gone. They are so over price. I found better prices at other stores that carry the same stuff.

Prices are sometimes higher, and they don't always have everything a commercial plumber needs, but they have great customer service, and I'd rather drive right past the Lowes to get here.
Customer service really means something to some of us.

Just went to the Thompson Hardware Store on San Jose Blvd. (Mandarin) and asked for a key to be made they were going to almost $10.00 for a standard key and even more more a sports themed key. 1 Key was outrageous and when I asked them why the keys were so expensive they blamed it on Tarriffs. Lolol. Then asked if they had a Military Discount…. Lady at counters said NO! Every Ace Hardware Store I ve been to has a Military Discount except this ‘Thompsons Ace Hardware’. Stay away from here! Prices are out of control.
