I went here and ordered some tacos they were good and i like their mexican candies. The guy who took my order was nice and the girl at the front counter was too. It was just the man who was loading the truck and goods in the store was rude. I was walking right behind him and he didn't hold the door for me yet he held the door for another girl because she was the same nationality as he was. Its crazy how us black people get so looked down and disrespected in this awful country where WE WAS ORIGINALLY BORN.

I order 3 steak tacos every time and they say 15 minutes but it takes an hour for my call in order to be ready. On to of that my tacos are never full of meat. Time for a new Mexican spot! They need to improve on service, food quality and order timeParking: Parking sucks no matter what time of day!

Amazing. Finding authentic Mexican food is hard to find. Reading the negative comments, I do not agree with them. The waitress was a delight, sweet and friendly. Everything from the fresh tortillas to the meats were phenomenal.I wish I could put this place in my pocket and take it to my town! Thank you!Side note: the woman’s restroom was incredibly clean!! Like, really clean!!

An absolute hidden gem. Until recently, I thought that Tienda el Castillo was just a minimart-type place. When I was driving in the area and looking for a late lunch, I realized via Yelp that it was actually half restaurant/half market. And what a find: I had two asada and two carnitas tacos, served simply with cilantro and onion, with lime and salsa verde on the side. Both were outstanding, and the fresh corn tortillas were among the best I've had. The menu is extensive and very inexpensive ($3 or less for most tacos, and ~$7 for most burritos). They've got some of the more unusual options like tongue and head meat as well. I'll be back for lunch very soon. The added bonus was the market section! Tons of Latin specialities I haven't seen many other places in Jax - I'm especially glad to know there's a source for cotija and Oaxaca cheese close by, along with some great hot sauces that blow Tabasco away. The service was very friendly, though it definitely helps to know a little Spanish.
