“I go to thrift stores wherever I visit and I've got to say this one rates at the top. I loved the mix of vintage and re-purposed items and it had the best book section especially if you like old classic hardbacks books. I'll definitely be back!! Would highly recommend it”

“Ricardo is hands down the best barber I’ve been to. He pays attention to every detail and makes sure the cut is perfect before you leave the chair. My fades are always clean, my line-up is sharp, and he takes his time to get everything exactly how I want it.

The vibe is always professional but chill at the same time. You can tell he actually cares about his craft and about his clients walking out confident. Every time I leave, I get compliments on my haircut.

If you’re looking for someone consistent, skilled, and reliable, book with Ricardo. You won’t regret it.”

“The store owners were so kind and welcoming. This vintage shop had so much to offer and I found a lot of beautiful antique trinkets for my trinket shelf at home. They have all types of aesthetics and styles which means there’s definitely something that everyone can find and enjoy. I can’t wait to come back.”

“We did not end up buying anything. That said this place had a lot of interesting furniture and antique choices. Chances are we will go again and continue to check out what comes in. It is well laid out and pleasant to walk around.”

“I visited the Snob today an upscale consignment shop in the San Marco area of Jacksonville. The store owner was warm and inviting as always. She showed me items she thought I might be interested in buying. I visit the store occasionally, and she could tell today that I had something on my mind and needed to talk. We talked about family stuff and not only did I make a needed purchase, I released some stuff I needed to talk about.”

“Though I haven’t found furniture to fit my needs every time I visit this store, I have always had a great experience and enjoyed not only walking through to look at the interesting pieces, but the owner’s thorough knowledge of each item and its history. The pieces I have purchased for my home (a large sideboard and nightstand among others) are beautiful and in great condition. Perfectly fit my taste and style. I stop in every time I’m close by because the inventory changes all the time and you never know what treasure may find it’s way back home.”

“I'm just womdering why are you charging sales tax when in fact all the merchandise on sale were donated. I had donated several times before and also my wife is patronizing at the same time but i was shock when i saw the receipt with sales tax on it. So much for a non-profit organization entity like you that also charging sales tax on donated items.”

“I’ve been shopping at Once Upon a Child stores since before 2014 and started visiting the four Jacksonville locations regularly around 2016. Out of them all, this Mandarin location is the one I visit most often when I make the trek from Nocatee to hit Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. I remember when this store was originally near Trader Joe’s — the new location is a bit farther, but that’s perfectly fine.

Over the years, I believe this location has changed ownership a few times, but it has consistently remained one of my favorites. The prices here are very reasonable, especially on brands like bamboo and Lilly Pulitzer — often much lower than the airport or Orange Park locations, and definitely better than the Kid to Kid store just around the corner.

While I usually sell my higher-end items online, I bring my everyday brands and toys here because the process is easy and fair — and I don’t have to meet strangers in parking lots just to make a few extra dollars. I always make sure my items are freshly laundered, neatly organized in a container (not trash bags), and complete with all parts. I truly believe that kind of presentation makes a difference. If more sellers took a little extra time to prepare their items this way, they might have better experiences and offers too.

I also want to give a special mention to the gentleman who runs the store — he’s incredibly kind and helpful, and has even carried large items to my SUV more than once. It’s that kind of personal touch that keeps me coming back. I try to stop in about once a week when I’m in the area.

My only suggestion for improvement — and this goes for most resale stores, including Kid to Kid — would be to tone down the air fresheners. Strong scents can be overwhelming for those of us who are sensitive to them.

Overall, this location continues to be one of my favorites for both buying and selling children’s items. Always a great experience!”

“You never know what you are going to find here. Lots of different vendors. There's also some concessions. But also different vendors with fruits and veggies. Also different vendors with clothes, shoes, bedding, mattresses. There's plenty with toys and household things. Some vendors have knives. There's one that has video games and figures for sale. Parking is fun sometimes when its busy.”

“We appreciate that the salvation army accepts donations. More people should be trying to recycle or buy used items. The store that is attached to the donation center is full of furniture, HomeGoods, men's women's and children's clothing, luggage, and just about anything you could think of. The items are priced very low and for someone just starting out, buying used items is probably the way to go. If you make a donation of your items, they will give you a receipt to use as a text deduction.”

“I had a wonderful experience here. I had a lot of shoes from my two year old son and my six year old daughter They purchased a lot of the shoes that I had. And I received money back for it within 2 hours. I will be bringing more shoes. And clothes to them because they were very friendly.”

“This is just the best OUAC location in Jacksonville. What a selection of perfect, like new, flawless children's clothes! The best place to go back to school shopping. I travel 2 hours from my home every year to shop here and it is so worth it.”

“I don't go as often as I would like to go. I always find great deals when I do look through the racks. Love the fact that most of the clothes are gently used (or new) and don't have to worry about bringing home worn out stuff.”
