I started with VCA after multiple recommendations on NextDoor app. I'm glad I did! My 2 puppies are now almost 10 months old, yet as a first time dog owner, I sometimes have "dog Mama" worries. The veterinarians, vet techs, and reception have all always been wonderful. I've brought my pups for the needful things since they were 4 months old. I call when one throws up or other puppy normal things, yet they are always patient, helpful, and it is never difficult to get help from a Vet. Sometimes they place me on hold and get advice from the Vet, and other times they are able to either get a Vet on the phone, or one of the doctors will call me back. They are consistent, caring, patient, & reliable. The true care is why we love our VCA!!

I have used VCA for 4 dogs. My current dog is a German shepherd. They have seen her since she was 16 weeks old. They are kind, gentle with the dogs and answer your questions. Yes, they cost alittle more. But they give you a monthly plan that allows you pay that VCA care for pet care check themout. Roxie has anxiety but is not anxious there.

Always a good experience. All the vets and staff are awesome. I have gotten great care for routine physicals, illnesses and the most caring, gracious care when my older pets have gone over the Rainbow Bridge. Boarding them eases my mind too. Wonderful staff and facities.

This place charges double compared to other place I’ve taken my cat. $100 for visit, $600 for X-rays, $61 for rabbies vaccine. The level of care was ok but I’ve had a lot better for a lot less in fees. We won’t go back here.

If I could give this place a zero star I would this place canceled my dog appointment and never contacted us. But said they did but my husband and myself never received a call or voicemail from this vet.And to top it all off when I brought a concern about a dog I recently got from Jacksonville Humane Society they brushed it off like it was nothing and they barely even did a examination on the our new dog. I will not be coming back to this veterinary clinic. And all I have to say is people do your research before staying with one vet only reason we went to this place was because we had a certificate from Jax human society. Wouldn’t be my vet of choice!

Although the mostly all female staff is pleasant, they twice after nail trimming left a large years old ingrown cat toenail imbedded in the cat's footpad and said nothing till I just discovered it myself. This nail grown into the toepad immobilizes the cat and is unconscionable even if they cannot perform invasive procedures. She is super furry so I didn't see it sooner. But they were doing the nail trimming. Also,They cannot draw urine with a syringe to test quickly saying it's too invasive but insist on sending me home with litter beads to collect it each time or offering a costly blood panel test. Since cats have many urinary issues I found this an unsatisfactory delaying of treatment due to lack of training. Vets in L.A. have techs who do this without harm to the cat. They do not have their own ultrasound inhouse but rely on a mobile unit a couple times a week since they don't have staff to operate it...I was OK seeing them for basics till I discovered my cat's painful old ingrown nail that they left unreported but sold me vitamins for years for her lack of movement in that leg...possibly unrelated but ?I feel I can do much better elsewhere.

My biggest issue with them is their prices are basically twice the price of anywhere else for most services. The other issue is they are not very efficient, meaning be prepared to spend a very long time at your appointment. They are just really slow in everything administratively speaking. It takes forever to check in and check out. You're lucky if you're greeted when you come in and the checkout process /persons are slow and easily distracted. The vets and the techs are really nice and you can tell they love animals but is overshadowed by the other annoyances mentioned above. Their shots are definitely two times the price of any other veterinary. The flea medicine they prescribed and sold us was $36 and I found the same medicine for $16.99. Their office visits are $100 where most vets are under $50. I would advise you shop around if you are budget conscious.

We have been using this Vet. for the past ten years. They are always friendly and very good with our dogs. I would never go anywhere else. Definitely recommend them.

Such kind and compassionate wonderful care. They took great care of our very feisty but sweet “dog-cat” (and I mean feisty in his younger years - felt bad for the techs but they handled him great) when we have needed them. Sadly, we had to euthanize our beloved Mister on 6/19. He’s been with us for so long and through so much. They sent us the kindest momento and card, with his little paw prints and a lock of his orange fur. We got it in the mail today. It brought tears to our eyes. It is so nice, and bittersweet, to have something to remember him by like this, and also warmed our hearts that they did this for us. It really means a lot. Thank you everyone at VCA Loretto; your kindness is so appreciated. - Andrew and Katrina McNally

The best. I just put my dog to sleep and they made it so easy while making sure it was my choice. So much compassion for me, my dog and the experience. I’ve been going there for 25 years and there has never been a bad experience in all that time.

If you are willing to pay $439 for a cat chest x-ray and then $127 for radiology interpretation this Vet is for you. If not here's your warning to find another vet. My daughter brought her newly adopted cat here when it was having trouble breathing. This is 3x what it would normally cost where we live in Fernandina Beach. All other charges were inline with what we would expect from the exam and medicine. Looks like this corporate vet is using the x-ray fees as their gravy train.

When our 8 month old kitten got terminally ill the caring vets talked us through all the options. They were so kind and caring. You can tell they love the animals they care for. Thank you for all you did for our sweet boy Atticus.I treasure the paw prints that came in the sympathy card you sent. As well as the kind words.

I've gone to this animal hospital three times and the job gets done but I'm giving it a bad rating because reception is horrible with communication and follow up after appointments.

We LOVE Dr. Eslick! She is such a blessing. She is exceptional and has taken such good care of our beagle, Max. Everyone at her office has been good to us and we appreciate it!

These docs are The BEST! They are animal intuitive and take time to get to know each pet's personality. Both of my dogs are distinctly different and yet both are not fearful of this place. I am so Thankful to have them caring for my dog children.
