I’m writing this review to express my deep frustration and concern about how Walgreens handled my father's heart medication — a situation that was not only unacceptable but could have been dangerous.
My father has been taking brand-name Brilinta for over a year following open-heart surgery. He had always paid $0 thanks to a manufacturer coupon. Without his knowledge or consent, Walgreens dispensed the generic version and charged him $75 — a staggering amount, especially considering he previously paid nothing.
To make matters worse, no one informed him that the medication had been switched or that the coupon wouldn’t apply to the generic. He picked it up assuming it was the same medication he’s always taken. The bag wasn’t even opened when I went to the pharmacy to explain the issue. We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable — just for them to take back an untouched medication that should never have been substituted without a clear conversation.
Yet, both the pharmacist and the store manager coldly said that “no medications can be returned,” hiding behind store policy while refusing to take any accountability for the lack of communication or patient care.
This is not just a customer service failure — it’s a healthcare failure. My father is a low-income senior who had to pay more for the generic than he did for the brand-name drug. That makes no sense, and no one at Walgreens seemed to care.
We trusted this pharmacy with a critical, post-surgery prescription. That trust is now gone. We will not return to Walgreens, and I strongly urge others — especially those managing chronic conditions — to double-check every prescription and never assume your pharmacy will communicate changes or act in your best interest.

Rude cashier at the front. Old blonde lady had a bitter attitude and was very standoffish. This is not my first time here seeing her and having a nasty rude attitude.

I stopped in to my local Walgreens to pick up eyebrow pencil and concealer and the woman who was working the cosmetics counter was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She answered all of my questions and gave me a sample of men’s cologne for my son. She is a ***** 5 Star employee and person!

GLORIA , The Blonde pharmacist put methadone in my promethazine. She has questioned me and not provided me medication that I have been prescribed from the same doctor for 10+ years at that exact specific pharmacy.
She was doing her job by saying oh yeah you’re taking two all right why didn’t you do that 10 years ago because I’ve been taking the two for 10 years and I’ve been getting it filled here and it’s been from the same doctor.
Jason is is good because he listens to what I say. He asks questions he looks at it. He read it and he says oh OK. Well, here’s the problem hold on. We’ll get that going for you right now.
I see my doctor on Wednesday. He writes me a prescription for one week which is 42 pills six pills a day it went to the pharmacy. Thursday comes up as delayed. I called the pharmacy. I speak to the pharmacist. She says that I am unable to have that filled because The previous one that I got from him a week prior was also for one week but it was. She said that it was written for 28 days and it had not been 28 days if that were the case, it would be .66 something a pill She told me I could have it filled on Thursday. I go to the pharmacy on Saturday to pick up another prescription Jason I asked him if he could look into that for me please he did. He asked me a couple of questions. I told him what was going on. He told me hold on for a sec. He walked off. Came back three minutes later told me they’ll get that going from me right now. Come back in 20 minutes.
If a doctor wrote me a prescription for 28 days and gave me 42 pills for 28 days. What would my dosage be daily? Less than one pill. So if I was asked the pharmacist, what is my dosage and what would be written on the bottle you I’m supposed to take .666 of a pill and did they cut that for me? Am I supposed to do that or is that their job? If that’s the case, that’s your job as a pharmacy to cut my medication into the dosage how much I’m supposed to take so I can take it properly.
You’re dispensing medication to me and then you’re questioning how much medication I’m taking and you’re not dispensing it properly then what does it matter?
I’m done with this Walgreens.

Would not recommend if you don’t like to get yelled at and hung up on by pharmacy staff. The head pharmacist is helpful, but it wasn’t enough. Switching pharmacies although I’m pretty sure it’s the same disrespectful treatment at most locations.

Was having trouble finding an item at this location until an extremely polite young man came and helped me find the item and checked me out at the photo register so I could skip past the line! This will definitely be my new Walgreens in the future.

I pulled into the pharmacy drive thru, technicians back was to me, I hit the call button, no acknowledgment of my presence (and her back blocked the view into the pharmacy), so I hit the button again. Lo and behold, I got a nasty response that she was dealing with another customer. And how was it to see that? Where is customer service, kindness, acknowledging a customer.?

Staff is pleasant but there's always an under age cashier on duty who cannot take payment for alcohol.
