Rip Off Artist. STAY AWAY Owner is a mess. Cars are dirty, old, dinged up. Oh and then when you return them in better condition they try and charge you for cleaning fees.

I have been renting cars about once a month for nearly 3 years now from the Tequesta Avis. Dan is THE BEST! He is always very accommodating and has gone out of the way to help me on multiple occasions. I was previously using Enterprise, but left them because of their poor customer service, and have been extremely happy with the Tequesta Avis ever since. I highly recommend this location!

This was the worst car rental place I ever tried to get a car from so first I showed up a hour early so that was my fault he said come back at 12 that’s when my rental was for so I show up at 12:22 and they still don’t have a car for me and literally refused to call me to tell me when he would he said I had to keep calling him. By the way they did have a van that I wanted there but he refused to upgrade me when I don’t feel that my fault that they didn’t have the car I paid for. Bottom line worst experience ever and horrible customer servicing will never shop at Avis again 100 percent because my experience with the rude employee there at that avis

Rudest customer service staff! Will never go back to this place. Unprofessional, rude, inconsiderate! They overcharge you and do not even care to provide help or explanation! It took hours on the phone with Budget corporate to fix their mistakes! I would give minus 10 stars if possible and will definitely avoid this place!

BEWARE! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! Tried to rent a car, was quoted a price then received notification from American Express that the amount charged was $450.00 more than quoted. When I confronted the rep at the desk I was told they don't want my business and that I should go elsewhere. I will go back to Enterprise. Thanks Douchebag! If I could give less stars I would.

Would NOT recommend this independent rental place! Showed up to get car I prepaid for and was told, "Sorry, I don't have any cars. I can't do anything when people don't return them." The only thing he told me to do was call corporate. He said I gave him a bad phone number because he tried calling me today to let me know....yeah.....no.....sorry to inconvenience you and your daily smoke outside the building. J****

After reading the reviews I am shocked that the same problem continues to be an issue. Had a run in with the Representative closing last night 1/19/23. He was completely rude and completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this Avis Car Rental location to anyone as long as this Representative is there.

Avis has Always been Very Accommodating when We needed to Rent a Vehicle. If you want a Specific kind of Vehicle, My Recommendation would be to call ahead and have it held for yourself. You'll need to put a "Down payment" for holding the Vehicle, but that is Only fair Considering Someone else May want the same Vehicle.

If I could give no stars I would. For starters, I rent from Avis about 5 times a year and have been for about 25 years. Needed a car for only a day, last minute, due to a flat tire. Walked in and who I believe was the owner was a complete arrogant a#@. You immediately feel gross being in his presence. He doesn't look you in the eye. Regardless, I didn't have a reservation. I was able to rent a VW Passat. He told me when he handed me the keys that it would be $79. I questioned the charge as it was very high for a Passat for one day. He was silent. I needed the car and took it. When I returned it the next day, there was an older gentlemen, with a cane, in front of me complaining that he was getting ripped off. Again, the owner didn't look him in the eye and told him it's all corporate and there is nothing he can do. I then looked at my agreement only to see that the rental was $30 but he added a waiver fee (it indicated that I accepted it, which I did not) of $30.99. I told him that I never agreed to it. He told me because I was a walk in, corporate automatically adds it. I told him it didn't make sense and he told me it might not make sense to me, but it makes sense to him. I knew I wouldn't get anywhere with this arrogant POS (again, he wouldn't look at me) so I left. I immediately called Avis corporate to discover he lied (shocker). They said that they do not automatically add the waiver for walk ins. They refunded me the $30.99. This guy is a con man. Do not rent from this facility. I told corporate that he does not reflect the Avis organization at all. Rent from Enterprise in Jupiter only 5 minutes away. They are nice and professional. I can't say enough what a sleaze this guy is, in every way.

After picking up a car at the Avis at Fort Lauderdale Airport, I noticed that there were issues with the brakes and did not feel safe driving it. I notified their customer service and was advised to take it to a nearby Avis where I was staying, which was this one. Big mistake! There was only one person there who was rude and condescending. He advised he had to save the cars he had and the safety of this vehicle was not his problem. After pressing, he sent me to Pep Boys because they have an account there. However, the pep boys was unable to help because I did not work for Avis. I ended up having to drive an unsafe vehicle 30 minutes away because of this.
