Here is my experience with European Motorwerks. I was a walk-in looking for a place to work on my Porsche. I'm actually trying to find a good independent mechanic who I can support. Maybe the guy at the desk didn't like how I looked or was having a bad day or I was interrupting something he was doing but he did not seem interested in getting a new client. Maybe they are just too busy or didn't like working on my type car (I was thinking when I was there). Not good first impression or very welcoming, but hey, mechanics are like that sometimes I supposed.First appointment they had wasn't for three weeks. Three weeks later I bring my car in and was greeted by the same complete indifference. I even asked, "Am I still have an appointment? It seems like you weren't expect me?" I leave my car andfour days go by-- no call. I decide to drive by the place to see where my car is (maybe it's in one of the bays being worked on) and it's out in the middle of their dirt parking lot. I text to see what's the deal and am told they need more parts information from Porsche. They got me an estimate. Yes, the price was better than Porsche by $90 per hour labor--but the Porsche dealer would give me have a loaner and even wash my car.As I was waiting pay my bill and get my car, I could hear one of their mechanics cursing up a storm about how he hates whatever car he was working on (not professional). That alone made me want to get the heck out of there. With this place you will save money from a dealer but not that much and not as much as other good independent mechanics. Glad others had good experiences with them. However, my experience cost me 400 bucks and a month of time (for them to look at my car for a couple hours and essentially tell me what I already knew because I had an initial--not final-- diagnosis from Porsche---btw Porsche did NOT charge me for diagnosis) and a month of time.If EMW had a diagnosis finding more things than Porsche, it was probably because the condition worsened (was a very slow coolant leak) over the months since I first took it to Porsche and not because the Porsche dealer didn't find the same things wrong. That one's on me for waiting so long.On the plus side, the main guy, Manny (I think it was him but he never introduced himself) seems to know what he's doing. I give two stars for that.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Had my car in for a slow coolant leak. Three weeks to get the appointment. As the date for the appointment approached I got no email, call or text to confirm appointment. I take it in anyway and when I got there it seemed like they were surprised or didn't know what I was doing there. Left the car and after not hear from them for four days I happened to be driving by their garage so I had a look. My car was sitting in the middle of a dirt parking lot. I text them asking what's the deal and was told they were waiting for parts information from Braman Porsche (they get their parts from a dealer??). Finally I get the estimate and except that their labor is somewhat cheaper than Braman, parts and extras were about the same. And with Braman I get a nice loaner car and a wash of my car.So, for them to have a look at my car it cost $400--and a month of time. Originally I took it to Braman. They went over the car and printed out a complete itemized list of all the parts and cost of each, as well as the labor. Braman did NOT charge me for that work and in fact washed my car before giving it back to me. After paying the 400 what I got from EMW was a generic print out that explained almost nothing. No parts price or part number. Just "water pump, oil cooler, etc." Prices weren't broken down and neither labor. To make the estimate even more frustrating, they included things like steering wheel sensor and clock error (my second hand has fallen off as almost does with every Porsche in those years). Things that I didn't bring my car in for.As I'm waiting for them to print up my "estimate" bill, in the bay right next to me was a mechanic yelling curses at the car he was working on. "I hate working on these f'ing cars!" Not very professional. Man, I just wanted to get out of there at that point.I might also add that I was in their "lobby" four times. Each time about 15 minutes. During that time I heard no phone ring and saw no other customer. I thought that was unusual. Usually at a garage you hear phones ringing people coming to drop off car or pick up, etc.Summation: Poor communication (from the making of the appointment to having to contact them about my car instead of the reverse), prices and attitudes that gave me the feeling that they really could care less how high your bill is (usually independent guys at least give you the feeling they are trying--heck, even the dealer did that much). That's why I give it one star. I gave another star because they probably do know what they are doing with other cars. I probably would have overlooked all these things and not written this review had they not charged me so much. But, $400 for what I already pretty much knew.? Ouch. Their labor cost are pretty close to what a dealer charges and parts are same price (at least from what I could see from that "estimate".Glad others had good experiences. Maybe it was just bad luck or timing. Incidentally, I'm not one or these customers that complain about everything. I want to support a local business and am a good loyal customer and easy to please, actually.

We used European Motowerks for the first time today. Doug was friendly, and explained everything for us. He gave the price, which we felt was fair and stuck to it. The car was ready for pick up earlier than we anticipated.

Manny and his crew are very knowledgeable and professional. Always welcoming and able to help whether it’s a repair, recall, or maintenance. And much less cost for maintenance than the Mercedes and Maserati dealers!

NO stars. Charged $400 to put in a battery. Promised work done so I could get to work at 2pm. Not ready until 5pm. Lost a day's work for a $400 battery!!!! Total rip off.

We took our classic Benz to Mannie for AC repairs 1 year ago, after paying top-dollar 2500 in repairs the AC is not working again. We decided to take it to a more reasonably priced mechanic. After calling Mannie two times asking for the service records for the repairs already made so we may relay info to the new mechanic it has been over one week and still no return call after speaking with Mannie saying he cannot find the service records. On top of which a nice little bonus👌 we stressed the car must be kept inside due to the fact it leaks when it rains and when we went to pick it up after the initial repair one year ago there was a minimum of two inches of water in the car due to the fact that it was left outside. Any self-respecting mechanic with a true love of automobiles would never have been able to leave a pristine car out in the rain knowing it leaks. If you truly love your automobiles as much as we do and respect them take your business elsewhere trust me on this one;)

Manny is one of the best out there. If you have any kind of European car, they will fix it right away. They know what they are talking about! Better and cheaper than any dealership. The customer service is on point. I highly recommend them.
