Can you give 0 Stars? I was so excited to buy a new OLED Nintendo Switch on my birthday and tried to buy online for the $25 promo. I received several error messages however my card was charged three separate times. I decided to go in store to pick up the switch anyway and it turns out you can still get the discount in store per the in-store advertisements. At the store, I was told I had to sign up for the GameStop pro membership for the console and they said membership would be free with my purchase of the switch. When the transaction finalized, I realized that I had received NO $25 DISCOUNT ON THE CONSOLE. Instead the clerk claimed that the $25 discount removed the $23.66 Pro membership THAT I DIDN'T EVEN WANT. I asked for a refund so we could charge it again so that I can get the discount. During my negotiation to get the $25 discount I said "Thanks for working with me to get this figured out, you gotta understand that I'm trying to take advantage of the promo." And the employee responded "Yeah, but in a literal sense there's no point in trying to save $25 when you're already spending $350." HAHAHA. No. LITERALLY, the goal of the promo is to save 10% on a $250 purchase. That's the same value as purchasing all 48 bonus tracks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! Condescending and disrespectful treatment from the employees tainted my birthday Switch experience. Be prepared to fight for your discount at this location and be aware that a pro membership is not required for purchase of consoles. They also weren't able to run my Discover credit card even though it says they take it. Maybe negative stars would be more appropriate here.

It is 730 pm and sign on door indicates individual left for ~15 mins. Individual left during working hours. Why isn't there two employees to prevent this from occurring?

Something shady is going on at this particular location. Pretty much lied to when it comes to their inventory. I checked the website and saw they had more than 10 available Evolving Skies Pokémon packs so I took the 20 min drive there only to be told they don’t have any. Checked the site later that night and the inventory went down to 8 available. In Stock number changed even though it’s not available? Unlikely. Decided to order online for delivery and it went through. Received the bag and it was only 3 out of the 8 I ordered.(that’s weird I thought they didn’t have any) No call to inform me, nothing. Called them and they said they didn’t have enough to fulfill the order yet they went ahead and sent the order out costing me the Doordash fee for 3 packs and I was still charged for the other packs. Said I would be refunded. So I am now out of money/credit/gas/ and time because I’m getting serviced by incompetent people.

Staff was helpful, but I'm disappointed that they lied to me to close a sale. I was told that because of a special today the pro card was only 7 dollars, not that if I paid full price it would give me a larger trade in "essentially making it 7$" I ended up coming out of pocket for a purchase that would have been covered in full had they not lied to sell their terrible rewards program. Starting to understand why this place is going out of business. I haven't had pro in a few years because it's no longer worth it. The ONLY reason I accepted is because the additional money from the trade in was supposed to cover the cost of prompt cut it in half. At least that's what was portrayed by the staff. They had 0 interest in remedying the situation just continued to reiterate the same nonsense over and over again.

I've called many times to try to resolve a hold on money in my PayPal account. The transaction didn't go through, and I called that day (July 8) to have it reversed. That was 27 days ago. The last call, on July 22, got to corporate, where the guy with whom I spoke promised it would be done tomorrow. He said he'd call back in the morning. It's August 4. PayPal is still holding the money and will for 45 days. Nothing *they* can do unless GameStop clears it. I've been on Facebook and Twitter. No response. I'm not calling GameStop anymore. Their incompetence and dishonesty is cleared. Don't do business with them. They suck.
