Gordon was kind and easy to work with, but unfortunately, I don’t believe the mechanic working on my car had much experience with Mazdas. I originally brought in my 2011 Mazda for a specific issue, and while I understood there were other things that might need attention, I asked that we address the primary problem first.
Instead, the shop replaced both front axles and the front brakes—at a cost of $1,200—and I was told I’d be driving a completely different car afterward. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. The original issue not only remained but actually got worse.
Gordon offered to have me bring the car back in so they could take another look, but by that point, I wasn’t comfortable returning. It felt like they were guessing, rather than diagnosing.
I ended up taking the car to a different mechanic who diagnosed the issue right away. For $600, they replaced the front right motor mount—and just like that, the problem was resolved. I really did feel like I had a new car.
I don’t place the blame on Gordon personally, but I do believe the mechanic working on my vehicle lacked the experience to identify what turned out to be a fairly straightforward issue.

Gordan / Lami Automotive is worthy of a positive review. In the dicey world of finding an auto repair place - I've always felt comfortable here. I've been Lami 4-5 times with my - very high milage mini van. They pay great attention to detail ! I recommend going here!

I have been taken advantage of by multiple mechanics in the automotive industry. Gordon at Lami Automotive is the best. I have taken my car to him for years and I have a BMW (not always the easiest to fix) vehicle and he found each issue and charged me more than fair prices for each fix. I have an older SUV and could not find a reliable mechanic for Chevys.. I was refered to Gordon through an old neighbor, as he is certified chevy mechanic. I've had him work on my car for years, always satisfied. As well as EVERY refferal I have given out has been overly thrilled with the price, time and overall workmanship Gordon and his team offers.
