Great seafood. Staff makes you feel like a burden for shopping there however. If my clients didn’t insist on their seafood coming from here specifically I would definitely take my business elsewhere because I feel very unwelcome / like the staff is annoyed that we choose to give them business. Just my 2 cents

Food is fine. Been coming here for years. Service is consistently my issue. They will always oversell you. If you have dinner for 4 say 2. Point to the exact piece you want or they will voluntarily give you the largest.

Prices are a bit high. Bought qt of clam chowder. On a 1-10 scale I'd give it a 4. It was watery thin, lacked clams and was the first time in my life to have lemon flavor in it. Should really try a new recipie. Guess I'll stick to my own homemade chowda. Service is great.

Decided to give Pinders another try after we took a break from shopping there - we had overheard the staff talking about changing due dates on some products to future dates.
Brought Flounder. Asked for two pieces the same size. Went to cook it for dinner - each piece was drastically different size and thickness making it difficult to cook. I have also never seen flounder so bloody. You would think given the price they charge the idiot behind the counter could supply the customer with what they asked. It isn't rocket science. Fundamental skill for a fish monger. The fish was 'meh'.. not going back.

I went to look for some seafood to cook for lunch for 4 people. The prices were significantly higher for everything than ordering it at a nice seafood restaurant. The guy behind the counter asked nicely if he could help and I asked if anything was on sale. He said “We don’t have sales. Imagine the type of clientele we would attract.” As a private business they are entitled to charge whatever. I am clearly unwelcome as not part of the billionaire class. I used to splurge there periodically over the last few decades and it was always good but now I am priced out and probably will not return.
