Nice track, great shape, not worth $250 by any means. And for that price, I’d like the carts yardage and pin placements to be correct.

Course is mid tier at best. Not worth a penny over $75, even during peak season. $200+ for this course during season is honestly comical. Fairways are atrocious. Rough is absolute dog water. The views aren’t anything special either for the location of the course. Not one true golf on the course - which makes the pace of play slower than a turtle. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere and play a nicer course.
One positive is the greens are actually nice.

Course was in great shape and definitely worth playing.
Old starter gal rude and abrupt.
Cart gal never got off her phone and had to look up how much a Coke was.
Almost 20 minutes to get a hot dog (not bad) at the turn - that’s ludicrous for a golf course.
Played in 5 hours on a Monday.

Whoever is in charge. The staff is not friendly, not suited to be outside, taking care of the first tea box getting everybody out on time. We were there 45 minutes before our tee time. We specifically told the starter that we were only 3. Everyone is a 12 or better handicap. There was only 3 of us. They did not allow us to go in front of a group that was playing in a tournament all women. They were very rude. After 14 holes, we had to leave. Our cart said we were 25 minutes behind and to pick up the pace. The round would have taken close to 5.5 hours. It was A9:20T time. You get there early to get in and get out. I don't recommend this place.

Crandon Golf has improved dramatically in recent years, thanks to its recent renovation. The course now boasts excellent greens and pristine sand traps, making for a truly enjoyable golfing experience. However, the pace of play could use some attention. Ensuring the marshal has the authority to address slow groups would make the experience even better.

New director of golf is running the place into the ground. It’s a sad state of affairs over there. Unrecognizable. The restaurant is still top quality as always.

A miscommunication between the staff caused a hostile interaction towards my group. One employee specifically stopped us at one of the holes for 10 minutes to condescendingly tell us that we could potentially hold other people up, despite the next tee time being an hour and a half later. Nice course, nice carts, not nice experience.

If given the choice between enduring this golf course debacle and facing death, I'd have gladly chosen the latter. The staff's utter incompetence started with letting us on the course with only two club rentals, followed by another member causing a delay just to tell us we'd be holding everyone up. This has easily been the most excruciating experience of my life

Due to staff miscommunication we lost time and ruined the flow of play. The employee who stopped our group told us we were in the wrong when we got the rest of the staffs permission to go out with the amount of golf sets. We were also stopped about potentially wasting time for the groups behind us without any groups behind. It made us feel the need to hurry up for no reason.

Due to the staffs miscommunication it made my groups experience miserable. One employee specifically wasted our time on the course because of a rule that all other staff said was fine. He had plenty of attitude when talking to us and was frankly disrespectful. I will never be going to this course again.

I am writing to express my extreme frustration with the service at Crandon Golf Course. As a patron card member, I have always chosen to play at Crandon and have enjoyed my experiences there until now. However, my recent visit was nothing short of a disaster due to the misleading information and unprofessional behavior of the staff.
This weekend, I encountered an issue that left me feeling scammed. The man at the front desk showed a complete lack of concern for customers. They are currently renovating the front nine holes, meaning that when you book 18 holes, you are expected to play the back nine twice. This crucial detail was only relayed to me by the starter, not by the man at the front desk when I booked my round.
Not wanting to hold up other players, I started with the first nine holes, assuming I could address the issue at the shop after completing them. When I approached the front desk to request a refund for the back nine, the man was rude and provided misleading information. He even started arguing with me, telling me he did inform me although he did not. It is outrageous that Crandon Park fails to inform customers of the course conditions before payment and then refuses to issue refunds when the situation is unacceptable.
Since they are renovating the course and with their unprofessional staff I would highly recommend spend your $120 elsewhere until the course is finished in 6 months…
The unprofessionalism of the front desk staff has left me extremely disappointed and questioning my loyalty to Crandon Golf Course. While I have always enjoyed the course itself, the staff’s behavior makes me reluctant to return.
